Hi I am Jasmine, the head cheerleader and flyer of my team and I am gonna tell you the story of my life after my seventeenth birthday. One day when I was laying alone on a rock in my uniform taking reading my book and then the nest thing I remember was I heard someone come up behind me and I woke up with a start to see my coach looking down at me with a stern and strict look. "Uh sorry coach I fell asleep." Falling asleep was my first mistake. "What do you think you're doing?" "Sorry I was reading and I must have fallen asleep." "Well its seven o'clock you best be heading home, do you have a ride?" "Um no coach I don't my mother is at work and she doesn't get off until midnight." "Well I can probably give you a lift if your stuck." "That would be good. Thank you."
I let him lead me to his car without a second thought and that was my second mistake
"This is a real pain in the butt you know that right?" "Yes I know coach and I am sorry." I said ashamed of myself. "You live pretty far away don't you?" He asked. "Yeah kinda-sorta." I said not wanting him to see me as a bother. "You're legs look pretty good in that short skirt." "Uh thanks coach." I said, and at this point I should have left and found another way home but I didn't and I got in the car. I got in the back of the car and buckled up, noticing his car is very uncomfortable. Shortly after I got in he got in as well. "Well shoot I will take you right home then." Me being my smart self and thinking he really doesn't have to take me straight home he could get gas and such I made a remark. "You don't have to coach." "What do you mean?" He asked confused and disoriented. "You don't necessarily have to take me straight home." I said hinting toward the stops he could make if he wanted to. "Where the fuck else am I gonna take you?" He asked in a tone like I did something wrong. "I don't know where ever you feel like." "Hmm, you're a strange girl." He said before he started driving.
We were driving for about ten minutes when I could not sit on the seat anymore. "Coach hold on stop." I said and he pulled off to the side of the road and stopped. "What?" He said after he was parked. I then unbuckled and got into the front seat where it was a little better. "Okay you can go now coach." I said looking at him wondering why he became a coach. "Okay then?" He said pulling away from the curb and back on to the main road. I used to have a problem with silence so while we were driving I had to turn on the radio, but not very loud because I didn't want to make him mad. "Coach why did you become a coach, when did you think you wanted to be a football coach?" I asked trying to break the tension in the air. " I became a coach because my father was and my grandfather was, and his father was, back and back. It is a family tradition to be a coach, coaching football. I knew I wanted to be a coach since I was in grade school, specifically fifth grade." "That's really cool coach McAndrew. By the way what is your first name?" "My first name is Matthew, and now since I have answered your questions I have a couple for you." I was thinking at this time good I have a good conversation going with him it will lift the tension.
"Okay shoot." I said happily. "Okay well why did you become a cheer leader, and when did you know you wanted to be a cheerleader for one? What's your name and where do you live?" "Okay, so I became a cheerleader because when I was really little my mom had me in Gymnastics so I was really flexible and when I was in sixth grade I was dancing with my friends and the cheer coach came over to me and asked me to be on the team, but not the Jr. Varsity team he wanted me on the Varsity team because how good I was. I knew I wanted to do cheer leading since I was in fourth grade but I was pretty shy and timid back then so I didn't try out the only reason the coach saw me dancing is because I thought me and my friends were alone. My name is Jasmine, and I live at 635 Sear street, do you know where that is?" "Wow that's a pretty cool story, and yes I know where that is." "Okay thanks." "You know I am wasting a lot of gas because you some how fell asleep." I got ashamed of my self. "I am so sorry about this coach." "Jasmine its alright I promise." He said I think trying to distract me from the wrong turn he took.
