Chapter Four

*Jace’s POV*

We all got up and threw away our garbage. We walked down Thayer St. a bit, me and Niall with our hand interlocked, until we passed my favorite shoe store: Berk’s

“OMG! JACE WE HAVE TO GO IN HERE! THEY HAVE TOMS!” screamed Louis, jumping up and down like a little boy begging his mother

“Okay okay! We will!” I said laughing at his childishness

Louis, Niall and I went in while Liam and Zayn went into the sports store next door

“OMG! They have them!” I said shouting with excitement running to the Toms wall display

I guess I must have looked funny because that sent Louis and Niall into hysterics

“Whatever guys. They have the limited edition black and pink Hello Kitty bow Toms here! I have wanted these forever!” I told them

I picked them up and looked at the size. A 7! How lucky am I? These were also these were the last pair and also…. 90 FUCKING DOLLARS!

“Damn it!” I said angrily

Two strong arms wrapped around my waist. “What’s wrong princess?” said Niall leaning his head on my shoulder

Princess? Wow he moved fast. I think I liked it.

“I have been dying to get these Toms forever and these are the last pair AND are my size but they’re 90 dollars. I guess I’ll have to wait for them.” I said sadly as I put the shoe back on the display.

“No you won’t!” he said letting go of me and grabbing the shoe

“Ni, what are you doing?” I asked

He walked over to the sales lady and gave her the shoe. He must be buying them for me. I can’t let him do that.

I ran over to where he stood waiting for the lady to come back with the shoebox. 

“Niall what do you think you’re doing?” I demanded 

“Buying you your shoes. Duh” he said simply

“No Niall. It’s fine! I’ll just wait until I get paid then order them online.” I said

“Nope I’m buying them for you and you will like them okay?” he said looking deep into my eyes

I was overwhelmed by his kindness. I stood on my tiptoes and wrapped my arms around his neck and brought my body close to his.

“Thank you my prince” I whispered to him as he wrapped his arms around my waist

“Anything for my princess” he whispered back as I pressed my lips to his again

“Here are your shoes sir” said the saleslady as we jumped apart startled by her appearance

Niall took the shoes to the register while I giggled embarrassed behind my hand

“What are you giggling for wifey?” asked Louis, suddenly appearing at my side holding 3 bags full of shoeboxes

“Nothing but sheesh Louis did you buy this whole store?” I said staring at his bags

“Nooo. I just bought some new Toms I needed anddddd I BOUGHT US MATCHING SHOES!” he announced 

“Aww husband you didn’t have to! What color?” 

“The cute sailor ones. The navy blue ones with the boat signs on it.”

“Aww thank you” I said as I stretched my legs to give him a peck on the cheek while I took my Toms

Niall came back and handed me my bag and took my empty hand in his.

“What’s that” he asked meaning my new box

“My husband bought me some matching Toms. Ni, he’s giving you some competition” I said jokingly 

“Nope. You are all mine.”

Wow. We sure were falling hard and fast for each other. Well at least I was.

We all joined up and just walked around for about an hour or so just laughing and having fun when my phone went off.

“Hey mami chula!” I screamed into the phone

“Hey ugly!” screamed Nina back

‘Who’s that?’ Zayn mouthed to me

 I signaled him to hush

“What do ya want Nina? I’m kinda busy with someone” I asked her

“Ohhh! Who ya with?” Great. Now she won’t give up until she finds out.

“Just some people I met kay?” I answered, trying to avoid telling her any giveaway details

“Jace, you know I will murder you if you don’t tell you ugly bitch!” she yelled jokingly

The boys all heard that last part and had looks of shock on their faces. That made me just bust out laughing

“What’s so funny?” questioned Nina

“Nothing. I’m with these boys I met and NO it’s not like that but one of them is pretty cute” I said that last part looking straight at Niall

“Aww! Jace got a crush!”

“Na, were just hanging out okay? I have to go. Bye babe”

We hung up and I looked up to see the boys all staring at me.

“Que?” I asked them

“Who was that?” asked Harry

“You called them babe” said Louis with a pout

“Guys calm down. That was my best friend Nina-”

“Oh! Who’s Nina?” said Harry with a look of interest

Damn it not again. 

I turned on my heel and walked straight out of the store anger and sadness burning through my veins.
