I woke up to a hand over my forehead and opened my eyes. I saw my mom and the girls looking at me worriedly. "Hey baby, Blaise told us you aren't feeling well." Mom spoke and I nodded, thanks to Blaise they won't suspect anything about the baby! I sat up and looked at my mom. "Well happy thanksgiving baby! Everyone should be coming in at about 12." I nodded and checked the time. 11:30 OH SHIT! "Okay, I'mma start getting ready!" They left the room and Blaise came inside. She shut the door and looked at me. "Babe how far along did you say you were?" I looked at her. "A month and a half." She nodded. "Why babe?" She looked at my stomach. "Your starting to show..." I immediately lifted my shirt and looked into the mirror. She was right. It was small, but noticeable. "Shit." I spoke. "Did we bring any-"
"Babe what if we just tell them? It could be a thanksgiving surprise." I looked at her. "Okay. That would make things easier." She nodded and kneeled down to kiss the small bump. "My little bean." I smiled and giggled when she left small kisses over my stomach. "Baby that tickles!" I giggled and she got back up, gently kissing my lips. I let my shirt fall back over my stomach and she gently put her hands on my waist. She was already dressed in her outfit and the doorbell rang, letting us know that the guests were here. I immediately pulled away from Blaise. "Babe go distract them while I get ready." She pouted and I pecked her lips. "Only if you promise you'll give me a handy like you promised tonight!" I laughed at her. "Yes babe! I promise! Now go!" She smirked and ran out of the room, making me shut and lock the door.
I quickly got dressed and ran downstairs. "Looks like someone is eager." I heard a voice say. I turned around to see Demi and Dianna, along with three other girls. "Mom!" I ran to her and hugged her. "Oh so this is the famous Ember." I looked at the girl who spoke and slowly pulled away from Demi. "I'm Dallas, this is Madison. We're Demi's sisters." I smiled. "Well hi, aunties!" I smiled and Demi looked at me weirdly for a second. When everyone was busy conversing, she pulled me aside by the wrist. "Ember, is it me or are you a bit big in this area...?" She looked down at my stomach and I sighed. "Damn it Demi! You ruined the surprise!" She crossed her arms over her chest. "You'll just have to wait and see Mom." I smiled at her and walked back into the kitchen where everyone was seated. Blaise helped my Mama bring in the food and set it down on the table. I sat beside Demi and Blaise's chair was on the other side. Soon we all grabbed hands and prayed.
After prayer we all dug in.
In the middle of the lunch my Mama called for everyone's attention. "Everyone, we have an announcement." My Mami smiled brightly.
"I'm pregnant." My Mom, Lauren announced and I choked on my food. All eyes fell on me and Blaise immediately patted my back. "W-What...?" I coughed and Lauren looked at me weirdly. I calmed down from my coughing fit and stood up, running out of the room and to the beach. I left my shoes and sat on the beach. I heard Blaise call out for me. "Ember! Baby wait!" She ran after me and immediately brought me into her arms. "I can't do it Blaise! What if she thinks we're too young?! What if she's angry?!" She immediately brought me into her arms. "Baby she won't be angry, she's having a baby as well." I cried into her chest. "But what if she loves that baby more than me because it's her own...?" She squeezed me tightly. "Then she's missing out because we are having her first grand baby. Now lets go walk in there with confidence Okay baby?" She wiped my tears and kissed my lips, making me smile. We got up and dusted off the sand.
We walked into the house and Blaise spoke loud and clear. "Everyone we have another announcement." I held Blaise's hand. "I'm pregnant." Squeals were heard as all three of my moms ran to me. "WE'RE GONNA BE GRANDMAS!!" I felt hands on my stomach. "Aww! You're already showing!" My mom looked at my stomach. "How far along are you mija?" I looked up at her. "A month and a half." She smiled. "I'm only a couple weeks." Blaise pulled me away from the group of people to hug me. "I told you." I smiled and kissed her lips. "God I love you..." I sighed against her lips contentedly.
