After I heard his comment, I wiggled my wrists, but I knew it was no use. The nurse turned my way and smiled widely.
"Look, Dr. Kartmann. She's just anxious to get her turn."
Dr. Kartmann smirked. "Wait your turn, sweetie. I'll be with you in a moment."
Dr. Kartmann then dragged the scalpel down the line that was drawn on Rayan. Rayan's tears slid down and settled onto the cold metal of the cart. I couldn't bear to watch this. I looked up, and something brownish red on the chain caught my eye. The chain was rusting! Hope sprung into action, as I silently moved the chain. Then, Rayan's blood curdling howl drew my attention. I looked over to see Dr. Kartmann using a saw to cut his arm. Rayan screamed over and over, which made me move the chain faster. The chain finally broke, making me free. The doctor turned and looked at me. The nurse lunged at me. I ducked and grabbed the scalpel. I deeply stabbed her bosom, causing her eyes to go wide. She dropped to the ground. Dr. Kartmann dropped the saw and ran to her side.
"BARBARAAAAAAA," the doctor screamed frantically.
While the doctor grieved, I snuck up behind him with the saw. With one heavy swing, I brought the weighted saw down on the doctor's head. His cranium quickly sprinkled little droplets of blood on my hands. I backed away slowly, and went to free Rayan. But, his eyes were closed. My tears started to fall, until his eyes shot open and he gasped for air.
"Don't worry," I assured him. "We're free."
