Chapter 7: Henry's Birthday Part 2

The excitement of the day kept all of the kids awake that night. Not one could sleep because they felt scared not only for their lives but their parents lives too. The kids can hear the parents talk all night about plans on how to vanquish Leonard and Mullin. In Chris's room the twins, Tamara and Kat, along with Melinda and P.j can be heard having their own conversation.

Chris you know how crazy you are for trying to fight Leonard and Mullin by yourself without the help of our parents. said Tamara.

I know. I just couldn't stand there and not do or say anything while our parents just layed there unconscious said Chris.

Yeah, i know the feeling Chris said Kat.

Was it me or he could have killed us at that very moment but didn't?? said Melinda.

As I think about it, yeah he could have but chose not too. i don't get it. said P.J

He said wait until we get strong enough. i don't think this fight is meant for our parents to handle. i think we are the ones that need to vanquish them said Chris.

Do you think we are able to do it all by ourselves? said Kat.

At that moment Wyatt was walking to Chris's room after putting Patty and Henry to bed. He had overheard Kat's question in the process of opening the door. Everyone turned their heads to the sight of him walking through the door.

What are you guys talking about? i hope Chris didn't talk all of you into going after them said Wyatt.

No he didn't. We are just talking about how maybe we are the ones that have to vanquish Leonard and his forces by ourselves. NO PARENTS INVOLVE said Tamara.

Dont assume nothing but i wouldn't put that assumption away either. Kat i think we could defeat them all by ourselves but we wouldn't do it on our own either. We have our parents to guide us, we have the Elders for help, and we have each other and that what counts the most said Wyatt.

Melinda looks at Wyatt and listened to the speech he gave them. She wasn't mad at him anymore for not taking her to the underworld but that speech made her realize why her big brother is the hero that she looks up to the most.

Wyatt is right. if we listen to our parents and stick together we can do anything. We just need to help each other control and better our powers said Melinda.

So what you say? said Wyatt.

Lets do this said Tamara, Kat, P.j, and Chris.

After a couple of more minutes of talking and laughter the group finally fell asleep. The parents all fell asleep after the exhaustion of being up all night planning defenses and attacks against Leonard and his forces. In the morning Piper, Phoebe, and Paige were having a conversation over breakfast.

Do you think i should wake the kids? said Paige.

No, let them sleep. They had a long night said Piper.

So what are we going to do about Henry's birthday party? said Phoebe.

Phoebe is that all you can think about? said Piper.

What it's not everyday that my nephew turns 8. i was thinking about just the family being there. we could put crystals all over the for protection said Phoebe.

Sounds good to me but it's up to Paige if she still wants to have Henry's birthday party said Piper.

Paige was going to say no but Phoebe gave her the little puppy eyes with a frown. All Paige could do was give a chuckle

Fine you win. We can have it tomorrow if it's okay with you Piper said Paige.

Before Piper could answer, Leo orbed into the room with annoyance on his face.

Why aren't the kids up and ready? They re going to b late to Magic School said Leo.

I was just about to wake them honey. And it's fine to me Paige said Piper.

Leo you think Henry can go to Magic School too? It would make Henry and I feel better said Paige.

Sure i don't see why not. I got to go but make sure the kids get to school said Leo.

Leo orbs out and back to Magic School. Piper, Phoebe, and Paige go upstairs to wake the kids and have them ready to go to school. The kids made their complaints but reluctantly left after they ate their breakfast to attend school.
