I was looking at the broken glasses and the dark red on the floor and ceramic tiles of the kitchen. What happened to him?! I don't know what I should do? Should I call the police? Is this some sort of joke?! No Mars would never do that. My mind was swarming with horrible thoughts. "What if he's..." NO! I can't think of the worst right now. I need help. I put his broken glasses into my hoodie pocket and put on my key necklace Mars gave me when I was little. Mars is the only one I have left.... I need to find him. I pulled my hood over my head and ran out the door and slamming it behind me. I sprinted in the waterfall of this storm and ran to my Best friends Finn's house. I ran up the steps and banged on his front door then rang the doorbell three times. It seemed like awhile and I kept waiting and waiting. He never answered. I started to thinking of the worst again and my vision went blurry and the next thing I knew I was on the ground sobbing. After what seemed like eternity I heard footsteps and a hand gently touch my shoulder.
"Raven are you ok? What's going on?"
It was Finn. I never got the chance to answer him because I was still crying.
"Let's get you inside." He said worried. He helped me up and he opened the door to his warm and cozy house. It smelled of cinnamon and a lot like a wet dog. But then I realized it was me.
"Here let me get you a new hoodie. Take your shoes of ok?" Finn looked at me up and down with worry in his eyes still. He ran up stairs. I took my soaking shoes and socks off and place them by the door. I finally calmed down and had stopped crying. Finn came back downstairs with new clothes. "Go change in the bathroom"
I took his clothes and went into the bathroom and took off my wet clothes and put on the fresh ones. ....Wait I'm wearing Finn's clothes. My face felt horribly warm and I looked at myself in the mirror. I thought to myself "STOP! You don't like him like that he's like another brother to you Raven." I forced the redness away and went back outside into the living room. Finn was sitting on the couch and patted the open spot next to him. I went on over to him and sat down next to him.
"Now tell me.. why the hell were you outside on my doorstep sobbing in the pouring rain?"
I looked at him and I managed to spit out, "Its Mars... He's gone."
