Night Before Christmas

Unsupecting Wife.

Grrrrr it's almost time again and every commercial remind Milly that it was almost Christmas and anybody who knew her would tell you that she hates Christmas,with Santa and Rudolph, Nowhere did she see any sign of Jesus, Mary or Joseph. She has become the Grinch. She guessed it come with age or wisdom to know that it's not the giving or the getting that counts. it's the people and the people she loves knows she cares so getting together for Christmas dinner has always been her specialty, but this year they're going to be disappointed because she'll be taking time off from the 18th to the 31st, she is so excited to have this mini vacation but her hubby's not so excited because he'll be working most of that time.
She knew it was silly to get a hotel when it was only a couple of towns away but her friends didn't have to know about her plan, plus Otto's office was paying for the hotel anyway so they might as well take advantage of it.
she had been so busy with work that she needed some time alone and the idea sounded perfect cause most of her friends would be with family on Christmas day anyway. she had to be sly to ask her hubby about getting a hotel cause she knew he would think it sounded a little bit ridiculous but it was Christmas after all and he would give her anything she asked for.

She was relieved when he agreed,
"Just because I'm miserable doesn't mean you need to be to" Otto replied when she asked.
She smiled thinking of her own plans but she couldn't tell him anything about them because he was not part of those plans.
She picked a hotel less then three miles away from the man she'd been having a affair with for the last six months, she also knew about her hubby's affair but he knew nothing about hers and she wants to keep it that way.
she had met the lady her hubby was having a affair with cause she worked in the same office as Milly's lover and the four of them had a business meeting together once and she figured that was where he met her. Milly was surprised that her husbands mistress looked a lot a like her with the same auburn hair.

Milly felt guilty about not telling Gray about her hubby's and he's secretaries affair. she often thought about telling Gray but never knew quite how to do it. Milly knew her hubby's fantasy was to have two women at the same time but Milly wasn't comfortable letting Otto into that secret part of her life. she knew they'd never invite Mrs ______ to join them, Milly was ok with a one night stand with a stranger but she wasn't sure that she wanted another female she knew to have a ongoing fling with Otto after. 
There  was something strange about the way they met and she often wondered if it was set up by her hubby or by Gray, she could never ask.
Milly had never missed a day of work so this vacation was the perfect cover and the idea she cooked up sounded perfect for everybody but her lovers wife- nobody had to worry because Milly would be back home in two weeks and his wife would never see her again.

Otto didn't have to be at work till 10am the morning after checking into the hotel and he was feeling frisky so he talked her into going to the hotel bar, he knew what might happen if she had more then two drinks, he liked the idea that they may not go back to their room alone.  Milly noticed he was looking over all the single ladies as they sit at the bar, they always set at the bar because everybody had to come to the bar to order a drink and that gave him a chance to chat with the lady's as they wait on their drink, none of the lady's are up for a after party, but that's ok cause they would be here for two weeks.
Milly set her plan into motion as soon as hubby left for work the next morning, Milly had asked a client to call her at 10:30am and like clockwork she did and they chatted about nothing cause her plan involves the call not the conversation, she needed it to be a number Otto didn't recognize but also a number that was in her appointment book just incase Otto wanted to check. Milly was feeding a little nervous by lunchtime cause she know she was going to tell a little white lie, about Jill's call and she had to convince her hubby everting she said was real.
At lunch with nervous hands and a racing heart she said
My client Jill ask me to do her a huge favor while we're here I'm thinking it's crazy but it does pay, she look down at her plate as she said that, she know it was a lie and she didn't need the money.
Her uncle's looking for his wife a part time housekeeper for the Christmas holiday cause hers quit and she was hoping I'd be willing to do it while your working it's only three hours a day, no maybe it was four hours I'm not sure.
I didn't know what to tell her cause she set up the interview already it's for this afternoon. anyways I'll just be setting in the hotel room while your working" she said as she took a sip of her drink so he wouldn't see how nervous she was.
"That's up to you sweetheart"  he said,
Milly was relieved by his answer even though she knew he'd say that.
Otto made small talk about his job and kept looking at his phone like he was exciting a call.
when it chirped he jumped and almost spilled his drink. He tried to hide a smile when he answered his phone but Milly was preoccupied by her own plans to notice that.
