The field medic

Firefight

It was now early morning and William was up bright and early. He walked over to the humvee and took out his duffle bag containing his weapons. Then a shot rang off as a group of Taliban started advancing on thier location. He unholsterd his D-50 and fired back at the enemies.

William:Taliban! We need to call command!

Jessica took out her Vector machine gun and fired a few rounds at the enemy while Emily set up her turret. William slid into the shack and fired at the insertions. He took out 6 while Jess and Emily took out 5 each. Chloe was on the roof, shooting at the Taliban with her 50 calibre sniper rifle. William grabbed his radio and called it in.

William:Foxtrot 7, this is whiskey tango, we're under attack we require a evac at our lz. 254 degrees north, 667 degrees east.

Foxtrot 7: Copy, evac is in route. Eta 16 minutes.

Then Emily got shot in the shoulder. She fell down and called for William. He ran over to her and dragged her into cover.

William: It went through. You'll be alright, just keep pressure on it.

Emily nodded and placed her hand on the injured shoulder. William ran over to Jess and gave her some suppressing fire. When Jess's gun clicked empty he grabbed her and pulled her next to Emily.

William: I've got six mags left, plus the two for my D-50. And two frag grenades. Chloe how much ammo do you have left!?

Chloe: Five mags. One for my pistol and three frags.

William: We gotta hang on for two more minutes, evac is almost here.

They kept fighting for what felt like hours, then a Blackhawk hovered over the building and five Marines killed all the remaining Taliban and escorted the injured soldiers to the chopper.

William: Thanks for getting us out of there.

Marine: No problem Sergeant.

William: Hey Chloe.

Chloe looks at William with sorrow in her eyes.

William: I forgive you.

Chloe: Thanks. I'll never speak ill of your team again.

William nodded and looked out of the window.
