"i'm always tired but never of you"
"are you sure you'll come back and visit?"
"yes, you've asked me this same question for a whole month now tozier. i'm absolutely sure i'll come back and see you again."
she let out a sigh and a soft chuckle at the question he asked her. the raven haired boy in front of her had a few pristine tears rolling down his cheeks, but that didn't stop him from keeping a smile on his face for her.
even through everything they've been through that summer, this is what hurt him most. not the clown, not the quarrel with bill; but it was when they found out her family was moving to oregon, it hurt him deeper than anything he'd ever experienced.
"i swear to god if i never see you again ill go and track you down as soon as i turn old enough to get out of this shithole"
tears had begun to form in her eyes as she pulled him forward into a gentle embrace. as he did so, he started to cry. no one wants to see their lover leave, especially if they had no choice.
she gently ran her fingers through his hair as he held her tightly and wept in her kind embrace
"i promise ill come back for you richie. ill never forget about you"
as the girl's parents came out to get her so they can start getting ready to leave, richie held on tighter
"i guess ill see you later dollface... don't forget to call and write to me every once in awhile..."
"goodbye richie.. i love you.."
he watched as the family's station wagon drove off on route to the airport.
"i love you too dollface..."
