"i told the stars about you."
she sat still in front of a mirror as he sat behind her in his leather desk chair, his pencil softly gliding across the page sitting in his lap.
"almost d-done" he told her.
she kept that same still smile gently on her complexion as she watched him through the mirror. the way his auburn colored eyebrows knitted together in concentration, or the way his bright blue ocean eyes stayed focused on the page; it was all perfect to her. much like she was to him.
in another universe, they would have all been dead. in another universe they would have suffered. in another universe, they wouldn't even have been together. but this is not another universe. this is their universe.
once his eyebrows were no longer furrowed, he looked up at her through the mirror with a soft smile.
"y-you can m-move now. i've finished."
she turned around and gently laid a chaste kiss upon his slightly chapped lips.
"may i see it now?"
"yes"
he gingerly passed his worn out sketch book to her as she admired the portrait of her that he had just completed moments ago.
"bill, its beautiful, thank you..."
while she sat there looking at the sketch book, he looked at all of her features. he's already done so many times before, but this time was different. he was taking in her beauty all at once, and not analytically piece by piece. instead of looking just upon her glimmering pupils, he noticed the way her complexion as a whole left him speechless. he truly admired her for the alluring being she was.
and suddenly, just like that, he couldn't remember anything about what was going on. he was solely focused on the enticing female sitting before him.
"y-you are absolutely e-everything i-i never knew i n-needed."
