Chapter 5

The next morning, I woke to a knock on the front door and I find guards from the palace. I ask them "May I help you?" They said "Yes, the king has requested his son to come home and he said that the prince has been staying with you." I said "You can come in, I'll go wake him up." They asked "May we come with you? Just make sure the prince is safe." I said "Of course, please follow me." The guards followed me to my room, feeling slightly scared next to them. I go next to Alexander and gently wake him up "Alexander, wake up, your father's guards are to take you home." He opens his eyes and turns around to his guards. They said to him "Good morning Sir, your father is requesting your presence at the palace and he said you may bring the girl with you." He nodded and got up. He asked them "Guards, wait for me outside. We'll be there soon." They bowed at him and said "Yes Sir."

I looked at Alexander and asked him "Are you sure you want me to come with you?" He said to me "Of course I want you with me. You're like a best friend and a healer to me so thank you for everything." I said "I would do anything to save the prince. After all, you do rule over so it's my duty to help you in anyway I can." He said with excitement "Let's pack and go. Yeah?" I nodded and said "Yeah, I need to pack your clothes and I also sewed your hole in your shirt." He said "Thank you Ellie, you didn't have to." We packed and saw the guards waiting for us by the door. I got the key and locked the door of the little house. I follow Alexander to the carriage and he helped me up. I looked behind me, seeing this little house in the middle of nowhere. 

As we came up to the palace, I see the entrance filled with trees and and colourful plants. I looked at Alexander, telling him "You have a beautiful home." He replied "Thank you Ellie. It's also your home now." I looked at him with shock "Really? But i don't deserve this." He looked at me and said "You do deserve this, after all you did save the Prince." I was about to say something but we arrived at the door and I see Alexander's father and I think brother. Alexander exited the carriage first and smiled when he saw his father; "Father this is Ellie, this is the girl that saved my life", gesturing his hand to me. I bowed and said "It is very nice to meet you my king." 

The King said "and it's very nice to meet you my dear and thank you so much for saving my son, I'm happy to see that there is a young fellow who cares for vampires." The King looked behind him and saw the man behind him, "Oh...I'm sorry I forgot to introduce you to my other son, this Prince Dimetre, he is my oldest son." I bowed and said "it's very nice to meet you my Prince." I hear this husky voice that said "pleasure is all mine Ellie." He turned to Alexander and said "so brother how those she taste with fresh human blood flowing through her veins ?" He ended his question with a smirk.
