Chapter 2: Home sweet home

It's been a couple day's since the entrance exam. All you've been doing since then is being cooped up in your room and sleeping in your warm and comfy bed all day. You couldn't imagine a better thing to do to pass the time. Unfortunately for you, your peaceful slumber is about to be interrupted.

(Y/N): *Snore*

*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*

Someone or something is knocking on your front door and you can hear it all the way from your room that's in the basement. Ashes jumps onto your bed and licks your face in an attempt to wake you up.

Ashes: *Meow*

(Y/N): Ashes.....not...now......

Ashes: *Meows louder*

(Y/N): *Yawn* ok.....you win. What is it?

???: H-Hello!? Is someone here!?

(Y/N): This better be important....

You take your time crawling up the stairs on all fours and go to answer the door. You look through the front window and see it's just a mailman. He looks around and seems frightened of the foggy forest surrounding your house. You open the front door slighty and the mailman is startled by the creaking noise it makes as you do so.

Mailman: Uh...h-hey there....p-p-package delivery. *Nervous laughter* I-I need you to sign this.....

The scrawny delivery guy shows you a check board and you yank it out of his hands and sign the paperwork. Afterwards you hand it back over and grab your packages.

Mailman: T-Thank you young lady.

(Y/N): Get lost. *Slams door*

After a successful delivery, the mailman quickly jumps back into his van and drives away as fast as possible. You set your packages down in the living room and lie down on one of the couches. Hanging in the living room, is a portrait of your deceased grandmother. You grab your first package that appears to be an official letter from UA High.

(Y/N): Fingers crossed grandma. *Opens letter*

You tear open the envelope and find a letter and an odd looking device. It suddenly lights up and a holographic image of the #1 Hero, All Might, appears before you. You aren't very impressed by it at all.

All Might: *Laughs* I AM HERE!!! And in holographic form! *Laughs*

(Y/N): *Silence*

All Might: Uh...hello there. Sorry if I've interrupted your sleep. You look like you could use a nap *Laughs*. Anyway onto business. Young lady it is my pleasure to announce to you that you have passed your exam! We tallied both scores from each test and you passed with flying colors! Not only did you score enough villain points by destroying robots, you also earned Hero points for saving your fellow participants! See you at UA!

The device turns off and you chuck it into the trashcan. You open your other package and see it contains your official UA uniform. You look back at your grandma's portrait.

(Y/N): One step closer grandma. One step closer.....

You set your uniform back in your room and head outside for some fresh air. You walk off your front patio to check on a few things around the house. This house used to be your grandma's until she passed away. Your family inherited the property from her will and decided to move in after your previous house burned down. You can't remember much about it. You were just a little girl when it happened. You do know that your quirk started manifesting when you woke up in the hospital a day later. Ever since then, you've been seeing ghost and all sorts of paranormal things. Nobody believes you when you tell them about it, but you've gotten used to it. The reason behind your old home burning down was never truly discovered, it was labeled as a unfortunate accident but you think there was something more to it and have been looking more and more into paranormal activity ever since. While looking at the salt circle that surrounds your house, that seems to protect it from being messed with, you notice another inhabitant of the forest silently watching you from behind a tree.
