" how did you sleep?" Richie asked him
" yeah it was alright what about you?" Eddie asked
" perfect " is all he replied with even though he didn't sleep
" that's nice to hear Richie you know? That your best friend is happy and safe when they are asleep"

The boys sat in the room in complete quiet and the only bit of sound was Richie's Walkman playing there favourite songs. The quiet wasn't awkward it was peaceful.
" I realised something recently" Richie said breaking the silence
" what was it?" Eddie asked looking at him
" that your stronger than you think" Richie said which made Eddie smiled
" suppose I like putting up a fight, I don't go down as easy as everyone thinks " Eddie said and smirked at Richie
" yeah you don't Ed's " Richie said and the two boys just stared at each other
Eddie leaned in unknowingly and so did Richie, all of a sudden the two best friends kissed. Richie's mouth fit perfectly with Eddies.
The kiss didn't last long with Richie pulling away first
" I am sorry I shouldn't of done that " Eddie said and blushed
" no it's ok, I liked it" Richie said and smiled brightly
