Khushi.....Please, Please listen to me" he said trying to hold her close and pleadingly with her.

She jerked away from him. "Don't touch me and don't you dare come near me. I trusted you arnav!..I trusted you! You took the trust, the faith and broke it into a million pieces and trampled it to the ground"

"Khushi, if I had told you earlier today you would have been hurt and angry with me. If you'd learnt it from someone else I know you would be hurt and furious with me for the bet. Either way, I was doomed. I just wanted to gives us a few more days before I told you the truth. I swear, I was going to tell you the truth. I knew I wanted to tell you the truth"

"Now, you don't have to…Just stay away from me" This time there was no forgiveness in her voice and it cut into him.

"Khushi, Please listen. Give me a chance to prove…."

"You had your chance dammit. You could have told me yesterday evening, night even while we were driving you could have told me" she retorted and his guilt deepened. "I am never going to believe you ever again" she vowed.

"You are not going to listen to me at all, are you?" it was rhetorical question because he already knew that she had shut her mind to all his explanations.

She heard that question..."Listen, why should I listen? I don't believe a word you are telling me and I don't want to see you. You have taken advantage of me and deceived me. I don't want to see you or ever be a part of you again"

"I thought there was something special between us" he said quietly.

"It's rich coming from you" she said. Her eyes flashed with fire. "You took everything from me, everything that I hold dear" her voice dripping with venom.

"I was a pawn in your sick game that you played with your friends" she said breaking down and crying hysterically.

"Khushi, listen. You are not hearing one word I am telling you"

"I am hearing you alright but I don't believe you anymore" she replied and looked at him with tears that were slowly drying up in her eyes.

"Khushi…." He started to say something but she interrupted him.

"I am leaving now. I will get a taxi. There is nothing more to say. You seduced me because of a bet and you accomplished what you set out to do." As she said that she started walking away from him, he knew that she was walking out of his life. It hurt more than he could bear.

He walked silently besides her as she hailed a cab.

"Please don't go like this" he said before she could get into the cab.

"Bye! Arnav. I hope I never see you in long long time. The one thing you can do for me is to never appear before ever again" she said as she got in and the cab drove way.

He stared at the taillights till it disappeared from his view. He would never forget this moment in his life. It was useless to argue with her. She was not going to listen. Her brown eyes were wide with pain and fury. Her beautiful long hair was tied behind her head. She was beautiful and lovely but she had permanently walked out of his life.

It felt liked his heart had been ripped open. His heart no longer belonged to him as it had been taken away by her who had just walked away from him and his life. He went back to his apartment in a daze and walked to the terrace and starred at the Sky.

"I miss you. I am really sorry that I hurt you. I wish you would listen to me at least once" he said to the empty night.
