"RINGGG! RINGGG! RINGGG!"
This better not be Katia. I swear..one more text and I'll go nuts. Picking up the phone is when I realize that it's the hospital calling... this can't be good. "Hello?" I say, my voice sounding rough.
"Hi there! is this Peyton Smith?" A young sounding lady says happily.
"Yes it is. Is there something I can do for you?"
"Hi! Yes um, Elliot Hampton has told us to call and inform you that she is currently on suicide watch and will be for the next 2-3 months."
"What? Why?!?!" I yell into the line, sounding more frightening then planned. Considering the young woman's next words.
"I'm sorry sir I can't tell you that, you'll have to speak with Miss.Hampton to find that out. Visiting hours are from 11am to 5pm. Have a nice day." I was surprised that she said that all in one breath...
"Shit!" I scream, glad Im in my apartment and not my parents house. Considering it's 2o'clock, if I really wanna talk to Elliot I better get a move on it.
Right before I walk out the door I receive another call from the hospital. "May I help you?"
"Maybe, is this Peyton Smith?"
"Yeah, can I help you?"
"Hi Peyton, this is Hannah Trundey of Oxnard, California Hospital. I have called to inform you that Elliot Hampton has slipped into a coma. I'm very sorry."
"What?! Why? What happened?!" I shout into the phone.
"I can't tell you that. You must come to the hospital and talk with her nurses. Again, I'm very sorry about all of this." she replies kindly.
"It's not your fault, but thanks. I'll be there in five minutes." I say, trying to sound nice.
