The next day at school, neither Tim nor Ian are in any of my classes which makes me thrilled. I am still keeping an eye out for them, though because I am afraid they will jump me when I am least expecting them too since they got in trouble because of me. Sitting in study hall during the first period between Molly and Axle when the guy from yesterday, the one I almost ran into enters the room, and I stare at him through my eyelashes as I tilt my head down toward the desk. I know I shouldn't, but he is fucking hot, and I know in reality he never go for a guy like me.
I am surprised when he sits down directly in front of me, and turns to face me. He smiles broadly while saying; "Hey, I am Legacy Brown, and you are?"
My jaw drops in surprise, and I seem unable to speak, so Axel answers him instead; "Hey, I am Axel Johnson, he is Mylo Nolan, and she is Molly Andrews."
Legacy's smile turns into a grin as his eyes settle back on me after he has nodded in greeting at Axel and Molly; ; "So Mylo, do you by chance have a twin brother?"
Nodding slowly, wondering how in the hell he knows about my brother as I answer; "Yeah. Myles is my twin. How do you know that?"
Legacy's eyebrow then quirks upwards at me; "Is your dad Mr Nolan, the vice principal? I have a class with Myles."
"Yes, Mr. Nolan is my papa," I admit, wondering how he will react to my being gay along with both of my father's, too.
"Since your father is the vice principal, what does your mom do for work?" he asks, searching my eyes like he is trying to find the hidden meaning to what life is all about.
"Um, I have no idea," I shrug my shoulders with a dull and detached voice. "I haven't seen her in ten years, so I have no idea what she does for a living, or even if she is alive."
Legacy cocks his head to the side as if he is tyring to decide if I mean what I have said about my mother;; "I am sorry to hear that. I didn't mean to pry, or bring up any negative feelings."
"Don't worry about it," I shrug my shoulders again, resisting the urge to roll my eyes at him. "I can't speak for my siblings, but I don't care what she is doing in her life, or how she is doing for that matter."
Molly scoffs at me horrified; "Mylo, you can't possibly mean that! She is your mama no matter what she has done, or hasn't done!"
"She is nothing to me, so why should I care about her? She left when she divorced daddy, and hasn't contacted us since then, so why should I give a damn about her just because she is my mother? I am glad that papa came into dad's life, and ours when he did," I demand harshly, despite not truley angry with my friend, but angry at having to hear the whole 'she is your mother' argument.
"Wait a minute, I am so confused," Legacy says looking between Molly and me. "You have two male parents, and a mother?"
Sighing,I turn my attention back to Legacy, well here goes nothing; "Yes, I have two dads and a birth mother."
"So your biological dad is what, bisexual? That's cool!" Legacy says with what seems like awe in his voice, perhaps I was wrong about him taking my sexuality, and my parents badly.
"Something like that," I mumble, already wishing this day was over, and I was at home, snuggled deeply into my bed, and sleep.
"Do you have any other siblings, and if so, how many do you have?" Legacy asks, making me wonder why he wants to know so much about my family.
"I have six siblings in total. Three brothers and three sisters," I answer honestly as I fiddle with my pencil in bordom
"Holy fuck," he mumbles causing the three of us to chuckle at his little outburst. "You and your twin are the oldest then?"
Giggling at him as I shake my head; "Nope. Myles and I have an older brother, two older sisters, and a youger brother and younger sister."
There is a knock on the door, so Mr Lang opens the door which allows three new students to ente - two boys and a girl.
"Three new students, Mr Lang; Robin West, Rachel Morgan and Sammy Smith," papa's voice is heard from outside in the hallway.
"Legacy?" the girl asks shocked as she focuses on Legacy before rushes over to throw her arms around his neck, and hugging him tightly. Maybe now he'll leave me alone since he has three friends now it seems. The new students sit with Legacy before the four of them turn their attention to the three of us behind them.
The boy with the dark hair, and a baby face bluntly asks me; "Why are you in a wheelchair?"
"Sammy, don't be rude!" Rachel scolds him as she smacks him on the shoulder with an angry face.
Cocking an eyebrow at them as I respond; "I was in a car crash with my older brother two years ago; a drunk driver hit my side of the car. My brother and the woman walked away with bruises and cuts and I didn't walk away."
Sammy blushes a deep red color as the four of them stare at me with open mouths as Sammy stammers; "I am sorry. I have a bad habit of speaking without thinking sometimes."
"We noticed, so how do the four of you know each other?" Molly asks as she stares at Robin longer than the other two.
"We grew up at the same military base until Legacy left us two years ago," Robin explains as he smiles sweetly at Molly who blushes a light pink color at his attention.
Throughout the rest of the day, Legacy and his three friends are in most of my classes which does not thrill me any since I find them irritating. Lunch finally arrives, and I am hungry, so I quickly drop my books off at my locker before placing my homemade lunch in my back at the back of my chair before making my way to the cafeteria. Halfway to the cafeteria, the handlebars of my chair are grabbed from behind, and jolted to the side causing my breathing to hitch in fear that Ian and Tim were there, I instantly fear that they are going to make me pay for them getting into trouble yesterday with the pricaple.
"Dude, calm the fuck down, it is just me," I hear a male voice say to my left.
Snapping my head in that direction, I find Sammy now walking beside me with a stupid grin on his face as he asks; "You are a jumpy person?"
"It is fine, Sammy, and yes I am," I respond even though I feel anything but okay with his actions as we enter the cafeteria.
Searching the faces in the cafeteria in search of where my brother and friends are located. Upon finding them sitting at a table with Robin, Rachel and Legacy already, I can't help the groan that escapes me. Great, just fucking great! They're eating lunch with us, too. Sliding my chair into the space next to Myles' seat, lock the brakes of the wheelchair, then turn to grab my lunch from my bag, and empty the contents onto the table before greeting everyone else as Sammy sits across from me.
"Myles, who is the older twin, you or Mylo?" Rachel asks as she twirls a strand of hair around her finger while batting her long eyelashes at my brother.
Gross, but Myles answers her anyway because he is a nice guy to most people especially if they are new; "I am by a few minutes."
"Are you dating anyone?" she asks him before she takes a dainty bite of her pasta salad.
Myles chuckles as do the rest of us who know my brother as he answers hern honestly, yet politely; "Yes. My girlfriend Elise attends West High which is about twenty miles north from here."
Rachel instantly pouts as she continues to twirl her hair around her finger, staring at Myles with a small pout; "Wouldn't you rather have a girlfriend who attends the same school as you?"
Myles, along with the rest of us, her three friends included, pull a disgusted face at her as Myles says with irritation leaking through his voice; "No, I want a girlfriend who doesn't throw herself at someone. Especially when she knows the person has someone."
"Fuck you!" Rachel snaps back, earning laughs from all of us.
"Stop being such a damn hoe, Rachel!" Legacy snaps at her.
She drops her head, shame clear on her face now instead of anger, as she whispers; "Yeah, you are right. I am sorry. "
