Chapter 12

*MICHELLE'S POV*

I'm done. I'm done with trying to figure Hayes out. I'm done pretending that everything's fine. That I'm not hurt. That I don't like Hayes. And the fact that I might have feelings for Jakob too, doesn't help.

We are on our way to the hospital right now and Nash is trying not to cry but that makes me want to cry.

Hayes was in deep thought and it looked like he didn't want to be bothered.

I had my earphones on and I just closed my eyes. Of course, I opened them when I felt my phone vibrate.

The screen read: Jakob 😍😉😂😇

Hey, I'm at the hospital, are you on your way?

I answered and closed my eyes again. I wish I could forget all of this. Jakob is a sweetheart, but Hayes has been here through my whole life.... But then again, Jakob would have been too, if it wasn't for the fact that he moved.

I felt my phone vibrate again. I really didn't want to look at my phone. But I kinda had too.

OH MY GOSH! Michelle I have great news! Your sister just woke up! She's asking for you! Hurry!

I read the text again and again. My sister's awake!

"Nash! Lucy woke up! She woke up! Hurry!" I screamed with excitement.

"She woke up?! When?! Right now?!"
He said and I could tell that he was about to cry again.

I nodded and sat down again.

"I told you everything would be fine!" Hayes said and held out his arms and I was so excited that I just gave him a light hug and I had no feelings for it.

On a regular basis, when Hayes hugs me I get this nice feeling at the core of my stomach, but I was way to excited to care about that.

We got to the hospital and I literally jumped out of the car. I wish I could have ran but C.G. told me to stay off of my knee.

"Get on my back," Hayes demanded as I got the crutches out. "You obviously can't walk, and we need to get to your sisters room!" He said looking down at my knee.

I hesitated but I ended up hoping on his back. Nash was carrying my crutches.

I saw a flash come from the corner of my eye. I turned only to find 2 girls and a phone starring right at me and Hayes.

One was wearing a Hayes shirt and the other was wearing my hoodie.

"I thought Hayes was dating Aubrey Mendes....." The red haired girl said.

"This is not what it looks like! I dislocated my knee yesterday, and my sister got in an accident-" I started explaining but the blonde one cut me off.

"Yeah, we heard, how is she?" She sounded concerned.

"Uh, she was in a coma and she just woke up. We were trying to hurry but I can't get far with my knee jacked up so Hayes offered to carry me." They nodded and then took out 2 phone cases.

Up close, I could see it was a wallpaper case that had a photo of me and Hayes.

I remember taking that picture like 3 months ago, before Hayes left for Magcon.

"We had these cases made, it was incase we ever met y'all.... We made us some too." They said in unison.

Hayes put me down and we took the cases. At the bottom of the picture it said "Always Together, Never Apart.... Maybe By Distance, But Never In Heart.."

I choked up a little and I could see Hayes was the same way. "Wow.." We said together.

"We made them so they would fit your phones. Can you sign ours?" They held out 2 sharpies and two phone cases identical to me and Hayes'. We both signed them.

"How did you know where we were gonna be? And how did you make these?" I asked, still amazed.

"Well actually, we got the pic out of instagram and sent them to be done, and we saw the tweets about your sister. My dad works here so I asked him if by any chance, a patient names Lucy White, was here and he said yeah. So here we are!" The blonde one said.

"Well, thank you so much for the case!"

Hayes said and we both followed them on twitter and Instagram, we took a picture with them. Turns out their names are Olivia and Cher. I got on Hayes' back again and we ran up to the lobby.
