Skyla was shivering. She absolutely regretted all the decisions she made in order for her to be in this situation.

She looked up through the icy water. She was crying, but she couldn't feel her tears. She didn't have a jacket, she wished she did.

Her tail swished to her side and clung around her leg, scaring little fish swimming nearby.

She loved the ocean, but she hated how cold it could get. She looked to her side, being blinded by the bright sunlight streaming down through the iceburgs and icy water.

"I wanna go home..." She regretted running away. She could deal with another stupid foster home if it meant escaping the cold water.

She let go of her legs and sighed, it was getting warmer. She closed her eyes in exhaustion.

She snapped her eyes open again, it was unbearably warm now.

She couldn't breathe it was so hot. God why was it so hot?!

She hyperventilated, she thought that she might be sweating, but she couldn't tell in the water.

She pulled her oversized shirt over her head in a haste, it was boiling now.

She was tired. She layed down on the sandy and muddy ocean floor. Her tail stopped swishing, finally it was slowly cooling.

She closed her eyes, she could finally relax.
