"They say that writers are born with sadness in their bones,
but I think every one is born with misery in their souls."

i dont remember much from that day. but from what i do remember i dont think i want to.

i was sitting in the passenger seat of my mom's car. she had tears in her eyes, i could only imagine that it was dad's fault. he always had a bit of a drinking problem.

but this time things were different. i dont think they'd kiss and make up like usual. the tears in her eyes blurred her vision, causing her to swerve from lane to lane. i had my earbuds in and the volume on high. i hated hearing my mom cry.

my mom swerved, causing my phone to slip from my hands. i unbuckled my seatbelt and reached for it. as soon as i sat up i heard my mom screaming and i immediately made eye contact with a curly haired boy with the brightest green eyes. except his car was coming straight towards ours.

mom was driving too fast to stop. she
tried but we just kept on sliding forward.

there was a deafening sound of glass shattering.
