I slowly turned the door knob, attempting to not make much noise, and walked in the dim room with caution, avoiding to step on any wires that could be important.
Who knows if I step on something, I'd be responsible for her death?

"Mami," I whispered, "Mami, are you awake?"

"Yes..." she croaked.

"Mami, I don't know what to do," I bawled, "I'm running out of things to say to them, and I need something to come up with. It hurts me to see them wanting to see you, but they can't. What do I do?"

Tears were sliding down my cheeks, my siblings are too young to lose their mother.
It's killing me to disturb my mother, but what else can I do?
She has to see her other kids as well, not just me.

"My daughter," she muttered, "it's just a matter of time before they find out themselves. It's Better to tell them after school. And I'll see them then as well. Understood?"

"Yes, Mother."

She gave me a soft smile. One that clearly read, "It's okay, don't worry".
Her tears were flowing down her cheek bones as if they were rivers.
I can state this fact, though, anything else in the entire universe, is less painful than seeing your mother cry.

"I love you, Mom," I choked out.

"I love you, too, Elizabeth," she spoke, "now go to school and learn so you can be amazing and successful."

"Okay, Mami," I whispered, "bye, I'll be home soon."
I laid a slight kiss on her forehead and I can feel my tears struggling to come out of my eye lids.
Then I left.

I walked out of the room, grabbed my backpack from the doorway, and walked to school.
As I walked I played "Keep Holding On" by Falling in Reverse."
Dear Lord, how I wish You could take me back to the time I was a child with nothing to worry about.
I'm now sobbing and I have poor vision due to my puffy eyes.

Well, I'm almost at school, so it's time to fool these humans with yet another fake smile.
