Cursed (Book One)

2⃣ Poor Jude

Location: JUDE'S OFFICE
Time: 7:00 AM
POV: MINE

Jude sits at his desk, working on some papers. Lucy knocked on the door. He straightened his tie, and sits up, and fixed up a messy stack of papers on his desk, then clears his throat. " Come in " He said. Lucy opens the door. She has a basket of Champagne and some sweets. " Today marks the 49th anniversary of the company! " Lucy said excitedly. This is the only place that she can be her usual cheery self. No one at the company thinks of her as a curse. Just the beautiful daughter of Jude and Layla Heartfilia. She then pours two glasses of the champagne and places one on his desk. " Cheers! " She said as they tap the glasses together. Lucy noticed that her father was less cheery than usual. " Is there something wrong? You seem in like yourself " She asked. " No, no I'm fine " He said hiding his bloodshot eyes behind a wide smile that made him squint. " Are you sure? " She asked, clearly worried. He was lying. He thought he'd never have to lie to Lucy, his baby girl. But he doesn't want her to be worried about him. He waved her off. " I'm fine don't worry about me " He said. Lucy was still unconvinced, but she shook off the feeling. Maybe the whole 'curse' was getting to her. After that little celebration Lucy gave Jude a kiss and leaves for home.

Time: 12:00 PM

Jude's assistant, Briar walks into his office. He starts to cough, but covers it with a hankercheif. When he moves his hand away from his face, blood stained it, turning the pure white hankercheif, into one with red sploches on it. Briar ran over to his side. " Are you okay sir? " She asked. He shakes his head. " I don't have much time left in this world... I have been very, very sick for a long time. And I know there is not much time for me to be alive " He said. " Then perhaps... " Briar starts. Jude looks over to her, who is staring off at the sky. " ... You should tell Lucy " She said. " I want to... But I also want to see her happy before I go " He said. " I wanted to walk her down the isle, she would look just as beautiful as her mother, if not more... " He let off a soft smile, that soon faded once he started thinking of his current situation. " I'll go get you some meds " Briar said walking out of the office.

Location: FAIRY TAIL OFFICE

Erza looked up Lucy's name, and finally got her. She has been wondering why she didn't react in a normal way when natsu pointed his gun at her. Usually people look scared, scream, start to shake. But she didn't show any sign of fear what so ever. She clicked on a link that showed up when she clicked on Lucy's name.

The Girl With The 'CURSE'

The title read. " Curse? " She asked herself. She read the first paragraph.

There is a woman, who lives in magnolia. She has a curse. Everyone and everything that she is infatuated with ends up dying. Her mother, dead, her boyfriends, dead. The only two survivors are her father and long time best friend from freshman year in high school.

" What... Is this? " Erza asked herself out loud. She scrolled through to see more about the curse. Pictures made by people to show what they call 'her true form'.

Erza shakes her head. And she is even more infuriated when she reads the comments.

She bangs her hand on the table and gets up angrily. How could they treat and innocent girl so cruelly? All because a few people in her life died. And it's her fault?! She couldn't stand for this. It was completely wrong. She walks out to the rest of them. And they were all looking at her, they wanted to know what that loudest bang was all about. " Listen up! " She ordered. Natsu and the others were in their offices, and hear what she's saying. " I want all sites about Lucy Heartfilia 'the girl with the curse' taken down by tonight! " She ordered. Everyone got onto it ASAP. Erza angrily storms into Natsu's office. She grabbed him by his jacket and drags him out of there. " Where are we going? " He asked. " To pay a visit to Lucy Heartfilia " She said. She drags him to the car and drives down to where Lucy lives.

Location: LUCY'S HOUSE
Time: 4:30

Lucy walks out side her house to get the mail out of her mail box. It's usually letters from people telling her about her curse.

Dear Witch,

You should just die. We don't want any more people's lives cut short because your so selfish. What did we ever do to you to make you--

She was reading out loud, but there was a knock on her door. She sighed and gets up. She opens the door and Erza drags Natsu into the house. " Just come right in " She muttered sarcastically. " Anyways what do you want? I'm kinda busy " She said. " And what exactly are you doing? " Erza asked. " Well if you must know, I was about to clean my room " She shrugged. Erza stormed back there. A mess. They trashed her room last night while she was sleep. " What happened? " Erza asked. " So you haven't heard? " Lucy asked in return. " Yes I know you are the so called 'girl with the curse' but what happened to your room? It was fine the other day " She said. " I'm the 'witch'. So my room gets trashed every couple of months " She explained. " By who? " Erza asked. " Why are you so interested in my life? Nothing exciting happens to me at all. " She said. " Who trashes your house? " She asked once again. " Some random kids. I don't know " She shrugs. Erza was furious. " From now on you'll be on 24/7 guard " She said. Lucy was puzzled. " Why? " She asked. " Because no human being should have to live like this " She said angrily.

AT JUDE HOUSE

Loud, terrible coughs are heard. Blood sputtering all over his clean bedsheets. His phone rings. He gets out of bed weakly. Why did he leave his phone in the dining room? He leans on the wall for support. He gets to the dining room. He reached for his phone on the table, and collapsed. The phone still ringing loudly, can be heard in all parts of the house.
