Chapter Five
“Hello Caitlin. How was your weekend?” Hannah asked as I walked to my desk. I looked up at her and smiled, “Fine” I said, telling myself to forget Saturday. She walked over to me and put her hand on my shoulder, “Helena told me everything” I grimaced, I wasn’t complete ok with the whole Harry standing me up but I was past the point where I would get upset about it. “If you want, I can make sure he doesn’t come up here”
“No, don’t do that because then I wouldn’t get the chance to kick him in the balls” Hannah laughed but then calmed herself, “Yeah, you can’t do that Caitlin” and she patted me on the back, trailing back to her office.
“Caitlin, if he comes up here and you can’t handle it, just press number 5 on the phone and say you need security” Hannah yelled from her office and I laughed, “Hannah, I can handle it. I’m from Essex” she laughed and I looked at my computer. I didn’t have much to do with One Direction today but I still wanted to find Niall to thank him.
“Good morning lovely!” Helena yelled and I waved as she bustled into the office, carrying a large box of papers. “How are you hun?” I looked up at her and smiled, “I’m good now” she nodded and sat at her desk, “Just a heads up, One Direction are in the building and I think Niall is planning to come up and see you” I nodded and looked at my computer. “What are you going to do if he comes up here?” Helena said and I sighed, turning to her, “Um I was thinking about kicking him in the balls”
“No, you’re not!” Hannah shouted and I turned back to the computer, laughing. “I’m kidding! And probably ignore him” she nodded and turned to her computer. “When did you tell Hannah?” I asked, peering over my glasses to a guiltily looking Helena, “I’m sorry but her and Megan got it out of me” my mouth dropped, “Megan knows?!” she nodded and I slammed my head on my desk.
“That doesn’t look pleasant” I looked and saw Niall on the other side of the room. “Hey Niall, I was told you were going to come up and visit me” he winked and walked over, “How you been?” he asked as I stood up and hugged him. “Good, better than Friday” he laughed and leant against my desk as I sat in my chair. “Good, we talked to Harry. He wa-“ I lifted my hand up, making him stop talking.
“I’m not talking to him” I said and by the look on my face, Niall got the message. “Ok but he’s going to try” I shrugged and scrolled down my timetable, I had to supervise a photo shot for One Direction. “So, are you working with us today?” Niall asked, he was leaning on my shoulder, staring at my computer. “Yeah, supervising a photo shoot” I said as I turned, just as the rest of One Direction walked into the office. I wiped my head back to the computer, causing my hair to whip Niall in the eye, “OW!” he yelled and I heard laughter, “You just got whipped Niall!” Zayn said and the other boys burst out laughing, I giggled and my chair moved forward, I turned and saw Niall frowning at me, “What? His comment was funny!” he poked his tongue out and walked around, standing with Liam.
“So how you been doing since we last saw you Caitlin?” I looked up and saw that Harry wasn’t there, “Um good. Thanks for asking Zayn” he grinned at me and sat on a bunch of stacked books. “I wouldn’t do that if I were yo-“ and he suddenly slide down the books and smashed into Louis’ legs. “Hey!” Louis yelled and hit Zayn back, I looked over at Helena and we both burst out laughing. The boys fell silent, looking at us but that only made us laugh louder, they eventually joined in.
But that all stopped when another person walked into the room, the curly haired boy.
“What are you guys laughing about?” he said and my face fell, I spun my chair around and stared at my computer, reading the news on Sugarscape.
