Chapter Six

I slowly woke up to the sound of Lana Del Rey in my ear and I knew instantly that Riley was here. I fluttered my eyes and looked around the room, I saw Riley slowly moving to “Born to Die” and I smiled.

“You and I we were born to die”

I sang out and his head shot up, “Caity? You’re awake!” he said through his beautiful smile and I nodded. He walked over and I quickly glanced around the room, he wasn’t there. “How are you gorgeous?” He asked, stroking my hair, my brain checked through my body for pain and suddenly I felt the stinging at the back of my head. “My head hurts” I said and he laughed, “Well that is why you're in here” I poked my tongue at him, he smiled at me and I sighed, “Just asked it Caitlin” I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion but eventually gave into his glance.

“Has he been into see me?”

Riley nodded and my heart suddenly jumped, “he was here about half an hour ago but had to rush off. He said he didn’t know when he would be back” I nodded and suddenly felt a lot better. “So, what is actually happening with you and Mr Styles?” Riley asked and I glared at him, “Nothing, we are just friends” I hissed and Riley held his hands up, “I was just asking, however that is not what the papers say” I let out a groan and flopped my head back, “Ow” I breathed out and I heard Riley chuckle, “What does it say?” I said, opening my eyes, “Well it clearly shows a picture of Harry carrying you to the ambulance and then underneath in big bold letters Harry Styles and Caitlin Brooke, together even after the horrible encounter with the press, it then goes onto explain how you met and why you love each other so much. its all horse shit or you have been lying and not telling me about your trip to the Bahamas and then meeting Harry Styles there” I let out a loud laugh, “Oh Riley, how terribly sorry I am about not telling about my imaginary trip to the Bahamas, where I met and fell in love with the one and only Harry Styles” I said dramatically, Riley grinned just as a nurse came in, “Sorry but I’ll have to break up the laughing session. Caitlin has to take her morphine and then go to sleep” my face dropped as I stared at the familiar nurse, who I remember as the one who helped when I had first woken up, which was after I got out of the ambulance in a great deal of pain.

I don’t remember Harry being there either.

“Oh must I, I’m having such fun with Riley” the nurse laughed but ushered Riley out of the room anyway, “Bye Caity, I’ll see you in the morning” I nodded and he went to walk out of the room when the nurse suddenly stopped him and whispered into his ear, he nodded and walked out of the room. “What did you say to him?” I asked but she ignored me, getting the ready to put the morphine through the tube and into my bloodstream,I asked again, “Oh nothing important” she cooed and I humph, “Well goodnight Caitlin” she said to me and I suddenly felt extremely sleepy but she wasn’t getting away that easily, “Hey! wait. I want to-to know what- you” and my eyes shut and I fell asleep.

I suddenly shot up, awoken from a bad dream. My breath was fast and short. I looked around and started hyperventilate. I wasn’t in my room. I looked down at my arm and saw a tube coming out of it, my first reaction was to pull it out so thats what I did but someone grabbed my shoulders. “Hey, Hey. Caity It’s ok” a deep voice whispered into my ears and I started to cry.

“Caity, it’s ok. I’m here” the voice said to me and my breathing started to slow down. I clung onto the stranger like if I let go I would fall. The stranger climbed into the bed with me and I snuggled into his chest. He wrapped his arms around me and started to sing into my ear.

I instantly knew who the stranger was but I suddenly fell back asleep before I was able to say his name.
