Eddie and Richie take their bikes and go to the city to see if there's any shop open yet, so they can buy some for the sleeping Losers that are back in the bunker. They made an almost silent ride to the city, because the only sound you could hear was the boys' bikes making loud sounds as they went faster and faster in the little race they were making between them.
"If I get there first, you will have to buy me a donut!" Richie says.
"As if!" Eddie shouts, while trying to ride faster than Richie, which was a pretty difficult task.
They get in the city and park their bikes beside the only donut shop in town which is, luckily, open. They buy some simple glazed donuts, so that everyone of them would get satisfied with what they get to eat. Eddie gets out with the box full of donuts in his hands and Richie just behind him.
"Eds, you didn't get me my donut. That's unfair, because I won the race!" Richie says jokingly.
"My name is Eddie! And I didn't say at any moment that I would buy you a donut."
"But you have to give me something as a prize. Maybe a kiss?"
They both stop by their bikes and Richie starts to get closer to Eddie. Them both were used to Richie's jokes about kissing other people, but this time, Richie said it with a slightly different tone. It was still one of his jokes, but it wasn't fully one of them. And they both knew that. They both had this strange feeling in that moment, where the silence was the only thing between them.
Eddie's hands started to shake, making the box shake. His heart beating as fast as the wheels of their bikes when they made that little race. All those feelings where so overwhelming and confusing, that they made Eddie feel sick and anxious. "Ugh, Richie, I'm not feeling well. I... Think I'm having an asthma crisis. I'm gonna go straight to my house, ok? Tell the others where I went." Eddie says shoving the donut box in Richie's hands and getting his bike, his eyes getting wet in confusion. "Goodbye."
Richie's head started to blow out with thoughts as Eddie got further away. He fucked up, he fucked up really bad. What if Eddie hates him? What if he ruined all of their friendship? He started to ride his bike back to the bunker in shock, his head in confusion. He couldn't even understand things right now.
He gets in the hangout and parks his bike. As he got near where the Losers where, he feels his world get lost under his feet. He entered the bunker and left the box with breakfast on a type of table they had, just before his whole body went numb, making him sit down on the floor.
"Richie? What happened? Where's Eddie?" Bev approaches him with fear, seeing the boys' pale face and eyes full of tears.
"I fucked up, Bev... Eddie went back home, he doesn't wanna see my face anymore. I ruined it!" Richie's cheeks got wet by the tears rolling down them.
"Wh-hy wouldn't he-him want to see you again? He-he's your best friend. O-our best friend." Bill asks.
Richie remains silent while they all stare at him.
"Richie, please, what happened?!" Stan shouts.

."I... I may be in love with Eds."
