Knife started to head for his tent, drowning out the pleads from Mic to listen to her. He waited until she finally gave up and left him alone to sit down beside his tent. That day had been filled with plenty of arguments and nothing had gotten done. At the end it became apparent that the contest was now in a state of unorganized chaos. So it left a dilemma- no one getting eliminated.
Knife gave a snort as he recalled this- it would've drove Fan up the walls. Speaking of Fan, Knife took a swift look across the expansive plane to where Test Tube had her little tent. Of course she wasn't there- probably off meddling with her gadgets, Knife thought scornfully. With Fan gone, Test Tube and Lightbulb's relationship was straining- yet at the same time, Baseball & Suitcase's had mended slightly.
All this weighed on Knife, pulling him closer and closer to sleep. He stretched, padded into the tent, and curled up. Memories of yelling and panicking mixed in with strained attempts of optimism faded as he lapsed into the dream world. It started out as just memories- but something seemed off about everyone. They looked... different. Lightbulb had a long tail again, Baseball looked edgier and angrier than before, and Mic's dappled back was more barren. Suddenly- they dropped out of nowhere, and the landscape shifted.
"Face me you coward!" An angry yowl drew Knife's attention to behind him. He spun around, ready to snap at whoever insulted him. He stopped in his tracks at the horrid sight in front of him. Someone new- a golden & brown skinny tom- stood facing him, back arched and an angry snarl etched onto his muzzle. "Answer me!" The tom snarled again, tail lashing furiously behind him. Knife took a step back, feeling the fur along his spine spike.
"Excuse me!? Who are you?!" Knife snapped back, yet his voice didn't seem right. The cat in front grew angrier, hatred burning in his eyes. "How dare you play innocent, Knife! Look around and ask me again!" Knife braced himself and looked to his left. There laid a bloodied Pickle, lifeless eyes staring at the ground with a sad look. Beside him was a small golden-brown cat, crumpled up against his friend. Beside the small cat was a leaner, taller white cat looking heavily injured, and Knife couldn't even tell if they were breaking.
"I'm going to end this once and for all!" Without a second warning the tom tackled Knife to the ground and began battering at his face. Knife hissed, catching a glimpse of an orange spoon charm before sting pain takes across his cheek. With a yowl Knife reared a paw up, and before he could stop himself, slammed the paw against the other cat's head. The orange tom crumpled to the ground, claws twitching as the struggles to their paws. This time Knife wasn't taking chances, and slashed a paw across the tom's shoulder. Slash after slash came, until Knife finally stumbled back and collapsed out of exhaustion.
A few moments passed, and Knife gingerly padded over to the tom. He stared down an sparred his jaws to speak just as a scratchy voice rang out "REVENGE!" Claws dug into Knife, and with just enough strength he was tossed from the platform into the darkness below. He heard a faint voice just as sound cut from his ears. "Knife!"
