Personality and backstory
Young 11-15
A young Leonis was best described as hardheaded, strong-willed, passionate, and impulsive, which are attributes of both his strong determination to protect the small kingdom of Essesc and, eventually, his equally strong determination to help fight injustice in the world . Even as a young child, he was so intent on joining the Order of Light that he argued with and shouted at his mother, referring to the people in the city as "silly" and comparing them to complacent livestock to the monsters of the dark & Lusignan's soldiers.

The young Leon cared deeply for his friends and family, risking harm and even death in order to protect them. As a child, he took on larger boys who bullied Armadalias and, more tragically, he attempted to lift the rubble that crushed his mother during a attack from the kingdom of Lusignan' a small Mistralian kingdom known for assaulting early valrian kingdoms of which would later unified half of their continent and become the kingdom of vale, Leon was also capable of displaying violent behaviour in the defense of people he does not even know. This was highlighted when he attempted to rescue Milan by brutally slaughtering two of the human traffickers who had captured her.

After Armadilias showed the young leon a book depicting the wonders of the outside world, he would grew to share his friend's curiosity of the world beyond the his simple city and decided to see it for himself. This led Leon to develop a scornful attitude towards anyone who was content to live and die within the cities' confines without ever setting foot outside. As a result of this, he greatly admired the soldiers of the order of the light and other knights and their orders, regarding them as "heroes" and wishing to join their ranks as soon as he became eligible for enrollment. He was quick to take offense when anyone spoke badly of the Order, and his determination to join them caused friction between himself, his mother, and to a lesser extent, Milan.

The young Leon has a marked lack of self-restraint that often leads him into trouble, causing his friends and family to worry about him. His limited self-control is evident in his temper, which often caused him to act recklessly in anger, or say things he himself knew he should not have. This is exacerbated by his tendency to view the world in terms of black and white, where individuals who deny others their freedom are worthless scum, unfit to be left alive. Though he has great compassion, the young Leon had little in the way of empathy and is prone to taking things at face value, evaluating situations or ideas solely by his own arbitrary perspective and rarely ever thinking deeper about them unless someone else points things out for him.
When he joined the order for a year he was trained and broken down to the bear essentials for the the order where he'd later create a entire new personality
Adult life 16-48
An adult Leon often showed an overly cheerful nature, even when put in situations like interrogation or skepticism, easily able to keep his cool in such situations. Then in his youth, he'd been given the nickname "Oc e No (Yes and No)", due to his reputation for terseness. He also shows regrets to actions he takes, such as heavily damaging the Opera House in his battle with Saladin, requesting to know how much it will cost, in material and manpower, to repair. However, when serious, he has displayed a rather charismatic and somewhat ruthless side, declaring that not eliminating the Interrogation Officers by force was the bare minimum amount of respect he shows them for their station. He enjoys granting the wishes of the common people as best he could, save in situations like being in charge of the warfare. Leon also seemed to have a way of thinking which is difficult for some to follow which results in his vassals and family questioning him. He looks at situations from a wide and unique perspective, stating to Nina Hellsing that he trusts her and does not fear her betrayal should it happen for he has experienced it in life so many times by those close to him, but states he is not bothered by the thought. It is also due to this way of thinking why he searched for an ally shortly after leaving the Order, for if he was to fall he feared Nina would be unprotected and have no one to turn to.
