A week had passed since that strange exchange between Yoongi and Namjoon. While the matter had bothered Namjoon for awhile the other was acting completely unfazed. Like what happened outside of the practice room that day never happened. Namjoon would glance at Yoongi every so often to see what mood the older man was in. Same expression everytime. Yoongi would catch Namjoon staring sometimes and they'd lock eyes briefly before Namjoon's gaze would flicker elsewhere.
Namjoon noticed that whenever he'd be anywhere in Yoongi's proximity the hyung's fingers would curl into a fist resting in his lap. This caused him to feel more concerned than he already was. Does his hyung.. hate him? Namjoon started to feel as though he did something wrong. Maybe something that pissed Yoongi off. He wanted, no, needed to get to the bottom of this. After all, it was his job to take care of his group. He was their peacemaker. Their comfort zone.
He was the one to take on all their problems and stress. He was the one they all decided to lean on, confide in, and he wouldn't disappoint them otherwise. He needed his hyung to talk to him. Yoongi wasn't a very social person so getting him to pour out his feelings would be difficult in the least.
Namjoon had also noticed the lack of company he'd get on his late night practices. Yoongi started to accompany him to the practice room less and less until not at all. He couldn't say he didn't miss the time they'd shared. Yoongi laughed and talked more to him then, but after their last encounter, not so much. He'd just gone with the conclusion that the man had something against him and was just avoiding him now.
"Hyung, I thought I told you about this already." Namjoon said with a small laugh.
"It'll be fine." Jin said through a mouthful of food.
"You'll puke. I can see it now. Hey, Jungkook, don't join in with him."
Jungkook made a hysterical whine. "RM-hyung, wants us to starve. He doesn't care about us."
"Listen, if you dance with a stomach full you'll either get a stomach ache or vomit. Probably both. And I do care, or I wouldn't be pressing the matter." Namjoon explained pressing a finger to his forehead.
"Let's just skip for today." Taehyung said walking out of the bathroom and taking a seat across from Jin.
Jin scrunched his eyebrows. "Wait.. Hey, did you wash your hands?" He asked bringing up his arm to block Tae's hand from his plate.
".. Yes." Taehyung replied after a few seconds.
"He's lying. He's freaking lying." Jimin laughed pointing at Tae's face.
"You don't even know!" Taehyung exclaimed defensively.
"You took too long to answer!" Jimin said flicking his hand away from Tae whom had reached to grab him. "He didn't wash his hands."
Namjoon stepped from in front of the door that Jimin was inching towards. Taehyung sprang up from his seat and Jimin took off out the door and down the hall. His scream of, "DON'T TOUCH ME, V, STOP-," and Taehyung's laughter was the last thing Namjoon heard from the two. Jungkook had fallen asleep on the couch with his phone resting in his lap and Jin was just finishing his food.
"Alright, since nobody's really up for it, we'll take today off. I could use it myself." Namjoon said. "Where's J-Hope?"
"He went anyway." Jin replied from the kitchen.
"Of course. Skipping practice isn't an option for him, huh." Namjoon plopped down onto the only space on the couch that wasn't taken up by the snoring maknae. He still wanted to talk with Yoongi to get this entire thing sorted out. He didn't want to be the clingy type and constantly prod at the rapper to tell him his feelings. He didn't want to keep bothering him. He knew that Yoongi liked being left alone.
