He helped her draw buckets of water from the well and even carried them to her house as the hands of the old lady was drained of her strength due to rapid aging.

Grandma Miko smiled at him. "My my. Thank you Hitomu. You are such a fine grand son."

Hitomu smiled back at her, like an innocent fawn nuzzling its mother for affection. She was the first person who had reached out to him with kindness beyond words ever since he came to this world, or rather reborn in this world.

Yes. He was reborn.

At first he was sure he had died in the bomb blast he had initiated himself at the president's mansion. But when he opened his eyes instead of the gateway that would lead him to hell to atone for all the sins he had committed and all the innocent lives he had taken he was welcomed by the beautiful view of a river bank. Of course he was bewildered but being the calm prodigy since he was a kid he was able to comprehend his situation. And when he looked down at his own reflection on the water his speculations turned out right on mark. His soul had travelled into another body and the host was a young boy of seventeen who himself had not escaped death. The broken nails on his hands was the evidence to his speculation. It was most likely that he was suffocated to death in the water by force and in an attempt to fight off his body's former owner must had struggled to defend himself explaining the fresh broken nails of his fingers. Also the boy's body which was then his was covered in burn marks. From all the way to his stomach down to his left thigh and knees and up to his collarbone his skin was clad in old fire burn scars. Also he had a very large scar covering the entire area of his left face which was probably caused by a sword some five years ago around the same time he got those burn marks.

Although to most of the people the appearance of his body may appear like that of a monster he found the appearance of his new body pretty average. Just like in his past life although he was deemed as a pretty good looking man of twenty nine he was never the one to care for his face as he lived in shadows, except for when he had to look good during missions where he had to attract the attention of his preys.

And while contemplating on whether he should live on or end his life for a second time he decided to opt for the latter. Since he had failed to die once maybe it was his fate to have a second chance to a better life.

But alas he was a bit mistaken.

As later he found out that the world he was living in might not even truly be a part of the real world let alone earth. With no memories of the body he visited the nearest place, a small village, where he discovered that the name of the village was SUNNY, a small rural village at the outskirts of the SUN EMPIRE. The two names were quite familiar to him but he wished that either their lips or his ears were playing a trick on him. However upon the mention of the current world and the name of the continents of the world he was thunder strucked by shock. Although it had lasted for mere seconds it was the greatest shock he had ever received in his entire life.

How could he forget the world named SATINO and the continents ALMUR, RAZIA, MOON and LANA. Although he had only read it once out of obligation he could never forget these names. These were the names of the world inside a book called 'THE UNIFYING GOD OF SATINO.' And moreover he was not even a minor character worth mentioning in the book. Upon realising the shocking truth he had learnt of his own identity. His name was Hitomu. The son of a rich family of the Sunny village. When he was twelve his parents died in a huge fire accident while the young Hitomu survived but with much damage. The burn marks on his body was the decoration of that fire incident. He lived a traumatic life for five years and fed himself at the expanse of the villager's pity. Although he was an outcast who avoided being seen by people he made sure to at least feed his own stomach. But his pitiful life ended when he was seventeen as he was forced to death by a minor villain. His death was the result of the developing plot of the book which would serve a very significant purpose latter in the story.

"Hitomu?" Her cracking voice snapped him out of his thoughts.

"Yes Grandma Miko." He smiled.

"Where are the boys? How have they been doing? I have heard quite some pleasant gossip. They say that the boys are doing excellent ever since you started to teach them." She winked at him.

He was surprised by her unlady like action. Just as he was about to reply her his ears caught the sounds of stomping footsteps rushing towards them.

And without the need to look back his lips curved into a smile.
