It was September 1st, 1991.

The Longbottom, Potter and the Lupin-Black family were on the platform 9 3/4 for their kids first year at Hogwarts.

Harry had a lightning scar on his head from when he was one years old. No one knew how he got it exactly, but they do think that it may have been down to Voldemort killing the Dursley family, as he did get it a few minutes after they died. It was weird, the window in Harry's nursery smashed and he gained a scar at the same time but no glass was inside the crib. The scar never bothered him at all, he went about his life as a normal boy, or as normal as a wizard child with pranksters as his father and uncles. As he grew, everyone realised that he was going to cause trouble, like his father, but get good grades, like his mother.

Albus Dumbledore found it great that the boy was going to bring laughter to the school. Minerva McGonagall, on the other hand, was dreading the day Harry James Potter was at Hogwarts. 'I need to retire soon.' The woman thought as she came to the same conclusion.

Neville was confident, he grew up with his parents, The Marauders, Lily and his cousins/best friends. According to everyone, he was going to be like the Remus of the group a bit, but he was mostly like Frank. He seemed innocent but was really at troublemaker at heart.

Harry and Neville were going to be gentlemen to whoever they dated, their family knew. Neville and whoever he dated, they would be tagged as the cutest couple in school. Harry would probably be like his father and obsess over one girl and get her to go on a date with him, a red headed girl that had a temper and would call him all names under the sun until agreeing to go out with him in their last year. At least, that's the bet that the family and teachers have done.

Hermione, everyone found, was going to be like her fathers. She was as smart and sweet as Remus, outgoing and troublesome as Sirius. Though, she had a temper if someone messed with something of hers, The Marauders insisted that she had spent too much time around Lily that she gained that from her. Lily and Hermione smirked in unison and high fived, scaring their boys.

The men didn't want Hermione to date anyone, they were very protective. Lily and Alice knew that many boys would drool over her and she would either realise it and play with them or not know it at all. After all, Remus was oblivious but Sirius reveled in the attention. But, everyone knew she would be fiercely loyal to whoever she dated, boy or girl. The men hoped it would be a girl, much easier to deal with.

Albus Dumbledore was excited to see what the trio would bring to the school and what mayhem they would cause, he was one for entertainment in the form of pranks so long as no one was injured. However, Minerva felt as though she would have a heart failure. Harry going to Hogwarts was bad enough, but Neville and Hermione... she loved the three of them but wished they could find some other school to terrorise.

All of the teacher prayed though, they prayed that they wouldn't know the Weasley twins. Fred and George were bad, even if it was just two of them, but if they ever found the next gen Marauders, they would join them and wreck havoc in the school. Snape, being Head of Slytherin house, Potions Professor and enemy of the adult pranksters, dreaded it most.

Little did they know, the new generation knew about the twins and wanted to form an alliance with them. That was why they were extra excited about going to Hogwarts as they stood on the platform.

"Ok. I want you all to have fun, but you must be responsible. Now I can't stop you from pulling pranks but I insist that you don't use it to bully people and to keep them in line. Make sure no one would get hurt by them and do not try and provoke Snape. He can be nasty when he wants to be. Next, you must do all of your homework and worked hard in lessons. I don't want you guys getting detention for messing around in class. Hermione, I want you to not provoke your cousin and by that I mean Draco Malfoy." Lily joked about the last bit.

"So I can provoke Harry and Neville then? Thanks for the permission aunt Lily."

Sirius, Remus and James snorted in amusment. "You three are not helping."

"You guys know the ground rules. Stick together, don't listen to rumours cause they're probably out context anyway, no dating till third year, show them the true Marauders ways and try not to get caught doing anything that would get you into trouble. Do your homework and most importantly... have fun." James told the three kids.

"Don't forget to write every week." Remus added.

"Don't let anyone ruin your friendship. If you have a problem, talk to one another or to Minnie and Albus. But make some more friends aswell, boys or girls. Don't let anyone peer pressure you into doing something you don't want to do." Sirius finished.

The three first years huffed and said in unison "We know. We have been over this several times since we got our letters."

Alice and Frank watched the scene whilst trying not to laugh. They knew two or three talks were enough but Lily and the Marauders clearly didn't seem to understand that the three kids have it engraved into their minds after the first time. Not like they were going to tell them to stop, it was funny to watch the eleven year olds faces everytime.

"Can we go on the train now?! We have two minutes before it leaves!" The trio asked their respective parents, their luggage already in a compartment.

"Yes, you can go." Alice said with a giggle.

"Finally!" They groaned.

The family had one last hug  and 'I love you's' before the kids walked into their compartment, leaving the adults to watch as the train started to move out of sight.

"They're going to be ok, right?" Lily asked the others.

"They'll be just fine. We were." Frank answered whilst putting his arm around his wifes shoulders. "Let's go home and have a drink." Everyone agreed instantly to the idea.
