a vibrant Ray of sunshine crept it's way through my window, and onto my eyelid; revealing the pale skin beneath it. my eyes fluttered open regrettably, making me groan from the light and snuggling under the blankets. a couple of curses escaped my mouth as someone started to shake me awake.

"nico. nico!" I heard a female whisper. instantly I recognized the soothing voice as hazel's. my step-sisters. I forced my head to turn over and face her, my vision still slightly blurry from sleeping.

"morning.." my voice came out as a raspy whisper, still choking back anger.

"you promised you would go work in the infirmary.. you need a hobby nico." she sounded a little bit motherly for herself. nico knew that she would try to take care of him every chance she got, but to be honest.. she had worked herself over the top for a couple of weeks now.

"yeah.." I mumbled as I forced my self to sit up, and swing my legs over the edge of the bed. my cold feet touched the floor; as Hazel exited the cabin, already ready for the day.

I pulled on a pair of plain black socks, and my badly worn out combat boots. after, I grabbed the black aviator jacket that I usually wore every day, at least out of the cabin. I strapped my Stygian iron sword to my waist and trudged forth out of the dark cabin, into the shining morning.

as I made my way up to the infirmary, I heard some shouting from the apollo cabin, but tired as I was, I knew they could figure out whatever happened to themselves.

my skin was a pale color that contrasted against the dark bags under my eyes. also, my black hair was ruffled around messily, because I hadn't bothered to do anything to fix it. not that I ever do.

as soon as I reached the infirmary door, I felt a tugging on my sleeve. a little girl was tugging on it, with an anxious look on her face. I followed her gaze and saw a tall, tan, blonde boy walking up the lawn.
