Anti felt embarrassed. He had gone completely submissive and showed how weak he really was to all of them. He snapped on them and who knows what he really would have done if Kallie hadn't been so brave.
'I could have hurt her' he thought to himself.
When he had woken up the next morning, he had fallen asleep on Chase with most of his brothers around them in the living room. It was the strangest thing he had ever woken up to.
He hated it.
With a sour disgruntled look on his face, he slid out of Chase and Jackie's cuddling grasp and carefully snuck out on the living room while they were still all sleeping. He didn't realize that one ego was missing until he went into the kitchen to see JJ sipping on some tea at the counter. Jameson smiled at him but didn't say anything.
Anti hummed and opened a cupboard to look for something to eat. Not finding anything to his liking, he then searched the fridge but was also disappointed there as well.
"What are you looking for, Anti?" Jameson actually spoke.
Anti sighed but answered him, "The sweet embrace of death"
Jameson humored him a little with a soft chuckle but turned serious again,"No one thinks you are weak, Anti. Even the strongest of people have a breaking point"
Anti grumbled, "Why are you always so cryptic? You're even more so than Marvin when you actually speak, you know?"
Jameson shrugged and Anti continued, "I'm just looking for some fucking breakfast"
"Somebody say breakfast?" Jackie walked in yawning. The hero stretched as he made his way in the kitchen and playfully ruffled Anti's hair as he walked past him. Anti growled at the action but didn't say anything.
Jameson nodded at his question and Jackie thought for a moment, "How about we go out to eat?"
Anti shut the fridge door and stared at him like he was crazy, "Uh . . we can't."
"Why not?"
"People would recognize us. If we're alone out in the open, they won't but we can't take the risk all together. We all look too similar. And people might still recognize me. I'm not disguised like you guys are, remember?"
"Ah" Jackie leaned on the counter, "Well that's why Marvin's a magician, Anti. Disguise is his thing. . . . ..remember? Or do you not want to spend time with us?"
'He's embarrassed from yesterday' Jameson signed.
"I am not!" Anti shouted at Jameson but Jackie wound his arm around his shoulders.
"Hey it's okay, Anti! We're brothers. Family. And family is always there for one another, alright? No need to feel embarrassed."
"I wasn't" he still grumbled.
"I'm gonna go wake the others up. Don't go hiding in your room, because you're coming with us, Anti, got it?"
"Whatever"
A half hour later all of them were at a nearby diner, even Sean. Jackie had called him up and evidently forced him. Anti could tell he still felt bad from last night but didn't say anything on the matter. He didn't want to make things more awkward than they already were.
Anti sat on the inside of the large booth with Chase squeezed next to him along with Jackie. Then on the other side of the booth sat Sean across from him, then JJ and Henrik. Marvin sat on the outside of the booth in front of the table practically shielding them all from curious on-lookers.
Anti wouldn't look at anyone and he just stared down at his phone looking at social media and ignoring them. That is, until Chase took his phone away.
"Hey!"
