The drive from New York to here wasn't that bad I mean my dad was silent the whole time which I hated, it was tense but-
"we're here" my mom said
"wow mom this house looks better then our old one, I think I might like it here" it is a nice house but something seemed off about everything like why they never told me that we were gonna move and what's up with my dad
I carry in a few boxes of mine and the movers took in the rest I told my mom I was going to walk around for a bit surprisingly she let me
There is a park near by, when I got there nobody was here except a few boys at a bench they were about five of them, three sitting on the bench and two on the ground right in front of them
I got kinda bored so I started walking around the park when a boy a little bit taller than me tapped my shoulder
"Hey I'm kairi nice to meet you, what's your name" the strange boy said smiling
"I'm Lilly and very nice too meet you too"
"So are you new around here I've never seen you at my school?" He asked
"Yeah I am, also do you know if there's a 711 somewhere around here"
"There is one a few blocks down, I can take you if you want"
"Yes please" I say smiling "wait weren't you with your friends?"
"Yea but I told them I was gonna go home" he giggles
I got a lot of things, chips, candy, soda, I bought the boy a slurpee he didn't ask for one but he walked me here so the least I can do is buy him this
"I got you a slurpee, blueberry" I said handing him the really cold drink
"What- no you didn't have to buy me this" he said pushing it back towards me
"Yes you walked me here so I mean it's just a drink take it"
"Fine" he said rolling his eyes "umm hey I can walk you home if you want"
"Yeah ok sure"
After just walking a telling each other more about our selfs he asked why I was going on his street
"YOUR MY NEW NEIGHBOR"
"I guess I am"
"Wanna walk with me to school on Monday, please please please" he said with a puppy dog face
"How do you know what school I'm going to?"
"It's the only high school in the town"
"Oh,I mean I wish I could but my mom wants to meet the principal, maybe Tuesday"
"Yeah, ok see you Tuesday morning" I said sadly
"Wait kairi can I get your number" "you know just in case"
"Yeah here" he said grabbing my phone "there text me so ik it's you, bye Lilly"
"Bye" I said blushing
Nooo I can't like him, Just push your feelings away Lilly it's going to be ok, ok I'm fine I thought running up to my room
I showed and picked out an outfit to sleep in, sweatpants, really big t-shirt, then I pick out my outfit for tomorrow I don't wanna go to crazy but not look like a bum on my first day
While watching Netflix my phone starts buzzing, i don't know this number i answer anyway
"Hi it's kairi I just called because you didn't text me but it's fine I texted myself" he said giggling
"Oh hi I'm sorry I forgot but thanks for reminding me" I said hanging up
