For ten months, Y/N stands waiting in that bunker. She never leaves her post, she never moves an inch. But, her compartments are starting to become unresponsive so she knows she has to move somewhat.

So, she does what her programming tells her to do. She starts looking around, this time making careful note of the bunker around her. "Gee, from the state it was in you'd think she was in a..." Y\N stops in her tracks in front of a wide table that was used to hold blueprints . "War," the robot says, finishing her thought.

Here in the lab, let's play a game. I'll teach you how it's done.

That one thought starts a thousand more thoughts. Why did she leave me? Why would she go away without me? Was there something wrong that made her leave me? One by one, the thoughts pile up.

Here in the lab, wait right in there. This'll be so much fun.

None existent tears start gathering in her eyes. She can't believe it, the doctor left her. All alone. Why would she do that? Poor Y\N has no clue what happened. All she knows is that the doctor promised she would be here for her, and now she isn't.

And then she smiled. That's what I remember. The smile in her eyes, the sound of her laughter.

The robot puts her hands on the table and stares at herself in a mirror to her left, "What did I do?" She whispers to herself. Her only conclusion is she did something wrong. But what?

Happy to listen. Happy to wait. Happily watching her drift away.

The robot, in confusion, starts to put her processors on overdrive. She was created to be as smart as Einstein. She can and will figure out what she did is her mindset.

But she can't. Her only answer is to open the hatch to see if the doctor is just locked out, or coming back. She doesn't want to believe in logic right now. She won't believe in logic.

Happily waiting, all on my own. Inside a containment tank.

Y\N starts to slowly make her way to the hatch, reconsidering her option a couple thousand more times.

Just deactivated, standing alone. For twenty years to be...frank.

She stops, 'Maybe a few more hours won't hurt...' The robot thinks, standing beside the hatch.

After that it was waiting, night after night. But was I doing as expected? Did I do it all right?

That's what poor Y\N does. She waits for a few hours, four to be exact. Her programming is telling her no, but her ability to think and feel overrides it.

Happy to listen. Happy to stay. Happily watching her drift away.

Her hands twitch, her eyes blink rapidly. She's to nervous to even move, which is what she's been feeling for months now.

She wants to open the hatch, but what if the doctor just got lost? What if it's a misunderstanding?

Yet, she keeps on turning pages. For people who aren't there, people who aren't there, people who don't even know you.

She can't hold it in anymore. She has to know where here doctor went. She wants to know. She craves to know.

She opens the hatch.

Boom! What do you think? I might honestly make this book into a musical if this goes over well...
