Love , So Bittersweet

Distressed Desires

In the heat of the moment humans as a whole eventually fall in love , but with that being said most are scared of this feeling .Eric : he's terrified of love , a feeling he knows he has already fallen for . Eric like everyone else is scared of the aftermath , of not being good enough , of nor being able to protect Lin. It hurts more than any other bittersweet feeling , being scared of love makes him cry nearly nightly .

  Pain is something Eric is used to , hurt is something he has never felt . Pain can always be healed . Hurt  never leaves , always lingering burning holes in the heart always ever growing until the person forgets . Eric has never cried because of pain or sad emotions , but this feeling causes him to collapse in tears . When not with Lin he feels lost and lonely , the hurting spiraling back into place ripping him apart . When with her he feels like nothing is better , a pure state of ecstasy.

   Eric placed his hands on her hips as they kissed , them holding it longer than expected. Eric felt his body become warm his heart rate rising , something that always seemed to happen when they kissed or made out . Eric looked Lin in the eyes with a smile , " Go take a shower , I'll clean up down here and grab my uni out of the truck ." Lin hesitated her teeth clenching down on her lip softly with rosy cheeks, " Come take one with me ." Eric hadn't pulled away yet , them mere inches away when she said this . His face became red with his eyes widening , " um - are you sure ? " The two sat in a moment of awkward silence his reply being met with a small nod . Eric kissed her forehead and nodded back , " let me go get my stuff , I - uh guess i'll join you ." 

   Eric smiled at her as he pulled away exiting the house . Lin stood there for a moment with a large smile on her face , her heart racing with butterflies in a frenzy in her stomach . Lin walked up the stairs to grab her clothes  , entering the bathroom to turn the water on . the steam quickly formed a foggy room , of which she undressed revealing small fading scars on her hips and arms . Soon Eric entered with a knock which made her jump . Lin quickly entered the shower to avoid Eric's eyes . Eric caught a glimpse of her , causing him to nervously undress . lin poked her head out her face becoming crimson , her seeing the defined scarred body of Eric . In a moment of hesitation Eric entered the shower , his heart beat nearly the only thing he could hear .

  The two avoided each others gaze , awkward silence between the both . They both quickly washed , eventually becoming slightly more comfortable . In a moment of hesitation and silence with the meeting of their eyes both leaned in for a kiss , Eric as always leaning much lower considering the near foot difference in height between the two . A kiss became making out before the both broke away . Both of them had a blushing smile , before they exited the shower .

    Lin got dressed wearing skinny jeans and his hoodie , her counter part put on the blue and white uniform with the #8 on the back . Eric looked back at the female after he had put the mostly skin tight uniform . Eric looked back at his lover with a smile , her returning it . Eric glanced at the clock on his phone turning towards the female ,"We she probably go , my coach always wants me there first since I'm the captain ." A nod was given to Eric in response , the two exiting and walking out of the house to Eric's truck . 

 The Engine roared alive as they both entered buckling in . Eric connected his phone to the radio , starting a playlist of music consisting of Rock and Pop . The truck traveled down the road towards the field the tournament , Eric surprisingly calm considering he was about to play in the regional tournament . Eric looked at the female in the passenger seat with a smile reaching over to grab her hand , their fingers intertwining . Lin was Nervous for Eric , which was even more strange considering even he was completely calm . The truck pulled into a parking lot fairly empty besides some scattered cars , The only one standing out was his coaches .
