Chapter 3: Meeting

Even before he entered Cang Qiong Peaks, Liu QingGe had heard so much of talented disciples within the sect.

Liu QingGe was still an arrogant. A fawned young master from a noble family. He was called a prodigy and started his cultivation training earlier than most children. He had always been exceptional in everything and only few people could keep up with him. Of course he wanted to meet those talented individuals and test his mettle against them.

Yue Qing Yuan was said to be the strongest in their generation, while he does want to meet the man, Liu QingGe was more interested at the Shen twins from Qing Jing peak. He used to scoff at them when he first heard that the two was the head disciple, thinking that they were so incompetent to be needing two people for that post.

But his thoughts about them changed when some of the elder disciples told him the story when Shen Qingqiu (the older one) was appointed as the inheriting disciple, he fearlessly challenge the entire Bai Zan Peak, thus starting the strange tradition in their peak that whoever can defeat everyone will be the head disciple.

Liu QingGe felt nothing but respect for him even if he didn't manage to win against everyone. Even more so when he had stepped up to the challenge and fight against his disciple siblings for the place of head disciple. While there are few of his siblings disciples who proved to be a challenge, continuously fighting battle experience disciples one after another was certainly a great feat.

It took Liu QingGe four tries before he succeeded.

He didn't know much about the younger Shen other than what he heard from the rumors, that he was an omega of peerless beauty - he didn't get why the younger Shen was called that but never said such word in the same breath with the older alpha brother when he heard that they literally shared the same face - and he was someone who Yue Qing Yuan was courting or was already mated to, it varied from person to person.

It didn't matter to Liu QingGe what sort of relationship they had. But the fact that he was an omega and an accomplished cultivator was saying a lot about him. While Cang Qiong Sect did not care for secondary gender -even having some omegas as Peak lords - they were still very few of them. No one knows how strong the younger Shen is, but his Shizun told him in passing that the omega should the same level with his brother. He was certainly not someone to belittle.

The rumors really did not disappoint. When Liu QingGe was named the head disciple he came with his master to pay his respects to the other Peak Lords.

Even without having to fight them, he knew that he was on par with Qi Qingqiu and Wei Qing Wei while Yue Qing Yuan was certainly someone who he would lose to in a serious match.

"Sweet." he mumbles to himself when he finished his greetings.

"Did you say something, Liu-Shidi?" Yue Qing Yuan said, picking up the pot and pouring himself another cup of tea.

"The scent in this room smells nice."

Yue Qing Yuan looked around, his brows furrowed in confusion, searching the room for the source of the said scent. There was no food and he didn't burn any scented incense earlier. His expression turned from confused to smiling widely when he seemed to remember something.

"Ah, it must be Xiao-Yuan's scent." He said fondly "I did see them off this morning before they left. As expected of Liu-shidi to have such superb senses. It's a shame that you won't get to meet him and Shen Jiu today though."

"Who?"

"Apologies Liu-Shidi I forgot that you might not be familiar with their given names. I was referring to Shen Qingqiu of Qing Jing Peak."
