I get home and sneak in. This is WAY better than getting beaten. I do my homework because I don't want to get in trouble again. There's a knock on a window. It's Tate. How did he know I was in this room? I slide out the window and we go for a walk. "Hey  girl! I can't tell you how fabulous you look. With that make-up, you look beautiful!" he tells. His eyes are dreamy. I don't want to talk about us being more than friends because I don't know if he feels the same way. Then I find out how he feels without me asking. "Taylor, I hope you don't feel like we are more than friends. I've been talking to Lacey a lot. We used to be a thing and now it's happening again. She's nice right?" I'm kind of uncomfortable now because we were cuddling on a park bench. "Yeah, she's nice. I just don't get why you are spending this time with me instead of her if you want to be closer with her." He looks at me like I'm an idiot. "Are you serious. You're so nice. I was with her until now. I like you both, just, she's more of my type of girlfriend. I'm thinking of asking her out tomorrow." I laugh, "And you're telling me this because..." He isn't the brightest person. "I figured you could help me come up with a way to do it." I get up and walk away. "Go talk to Lacey. I don't want to be apart of this stuff. Don't sit by me at lunch tomorrow." I was mad. How dare he do things like that. I started running home. Then the tears came rolling. I get in the house and slam doors. I hope they didn't hear.

I wake up and throw on some sweatpants and head out to school. I get there and see Lacey and T-Bone (I don't want to call him Tate anymore) holding hands. She even kissed him on the cheek! That was quick. The whole time this was going on, T-Bone was looking at me, guilty. This year that was going to be so fun and wonderful is ruined.
