"Honey, why do you look so down?" your father enquired while you were sitting quietly in the corner of your library, reading a book.

"Nothing dad, I'm fine.." you said weakly while trying to smile.
He adjusted the majestic crown sitting on his head as he took a seat beside you.

"Y/n, you know that your mom and I love you very much, we want you to have a happy family and continue to be happy even after we disappear from the face of this earth." he said as he stared at the window frame,
lost in his own thoughts.

You placed the book back into the shelf beside you and clenched your jaw in annoyance, you had this kind of conversation with your dad a million times already, and you were sick of it.

"Dad.." you spoke softly as you turned to face him.
"If you actually love me in the first place, you would let me date Dongpyo!" you hissed at him.

You love your parents, with your whole entire heart. But you knew you love Dongpyo as much as you loved them. "Why can't my parents at least try to see from my perspective.." you sobbed in your head as your dad turned to you
with fury.

You blinked a few times, tears forming in your eyes by that time, dejectedly you sat back down and started to cover your face in absolute disappointment and disbelief.

Your father said slowly as he walked out, his heart was experiencing the same agony as yours at that time.
But he couldn't understand why you liked Dongpyo although he has tried to, countless times.

Feeling depressed and tired after this argument, he simply retreated back to his bedroom to take a break.
On the other hand, you returned to your chambers and stared at your ceiling, thinking about your future for a long time before drifting off to a short slumber.

"Y/n, dearie" you heard the front door unlocked as your favourite nanny and attendant came in holding a bowl of delicious mushroom soup while advancing towards you.
"Granny Eleanor, mushroOM SOUP!" you said with child-like eyes, you were starstrucked as you eyed the mushroom soup.

"Here dearie, drink up, I've placed your dress for the dinner at your closet, please give Prince Han a chance, he's really nice, and must I say...a little handsome too~" she said while winking at me before leaving while laughing at my disgusted expression.

I mean, I never want to be a spoiled brat as my parents had always given me more than I asked for my whole life and I love them, so with a heavy heart, I wore the dress as I took off to the dining ballroom.

As you proceeded to the ballroom, you saw that man...or more suitably, your suitor, probably the suitor that your father had taken a special liking to.
He was definitely a gentleman, and you have to admit that he looked like...well, a prince.
But your heart was completely taken and in love with only one person, Son Dongpyo.

Dongpyo had eyes that shines like stars in midnight, smile as cute as your rottweiler puppy, Aimi and not only his visual, but his personality was the reason that drew you to him in the start, he was the sweetest person in the whole empire. And you wouldn't exchange him for the world.
