Confession!

Chap 4: Asking him out

I sat there for sometime. Everyone was with their best friends I wanted to play but I didn't want to interrupt. I went along the hedges of our playground. It was an open space with some old benches and ugh Nick and Thea were making out. I quickly ran out of there and again sat on the bench all alone.

I missed Ginny.

Suddenly someone placed a hand on mine. "I'm really sorry Har I did not want to hurt you." I exhaled a long breath. "I know it was rude, I just....I'm so sorry. I really didn't mean to hurt you Har." I smiled at her," I'm sorry too for over reacting. " we smiled and then hugged each other tightly.
"And yes, No guy can ever come in our friendship. Not now, not ever. "

My heart sank. Now how on this planet could I tell her. I knew she would have done the same. I will forget Damon. I'll try. For Ginny.

"Oh and get your colours ready."

"For colouring your butt?" She chuckled.

"No Bitch I just entered your name for the upcoming drawing competition. You were not in the class and the teacher came and of course you had to participate."

She knows me so well "Hmm now let's go."

The next day

"Hey Har did you check your seats for the competition?" Ginny said.

"Yeah it's in our class only. Many are participating. It will be a tough one."

"Yeah, Damon has also participated."

Oh yeah he will. Of course he does it every year. He is a great artist but I have to compete with Greg. He always ranks first.

"He always does and oh I will ask him about you tomorrow. Ok? " I said.

Ginny looked nervous, "What do you think Har, will it be a yes or a no? "

"Of course a yes Ginny, so many guys have dated you. It is very easy for you. I'm sure it will be a yes."

Yeah it's just so true. She has dated many guys and I was never that girl who was interested in guys until................ You know.

"Oh shut up its not like that and I'm sure you will find somebody this year."

"I don't think it's possible now. " now again everything was glitching in my head.

"I'll help you find him. See you have Justin. He stares at you many times between lectures."

"Ugh, Ginny I. don't. like. him. and he too does not. He stares at every girl in our class. He even stares at you and he may stare at me also because of you." I was so frustrated. Ginny was shocked at my sudden behavior.

"Hey Har, are you alright? "

I wanted to scream at the top of my voice Nooooo! I'm not. I hate that I fell for the same person and I hate it more when you are trying to hook me up with a bastard. I'm trying to forget him but.... Arghhh!

"I'm fine Ginny,  it's just that.....I'm a bit frustrated......you know I'm not interested in this stuff now. " I gave her an assuring smile. I'm good at hiding my feelings. Sometimes it may spill but then I handle it by making excuses. Yeah that's me. Always.

"OK dear but when will you tell him." she sat on the bench in front of me facing me.

"Maybe in the recess or tomorrow after the competition."

"Okaay!" suddenly she poked me and ran. "Catch me Bitch." she grinned and ran away.

"You Asshole." I ran behind her.

And so the day went and now it was recess.

I saw Ginny was staring at Damon and I remembered.

Don't take it long Har just do it. It will hurt you more later.

"Umm...Hey..... Damon." I don't know why but I always found it hard to call him by his name.

"Yes." he said.

His voice....

Argh Har Control yourself!

"I wanted to tell you something. It's about you."

"Me! Oh then just Spill it. "

"See there is a girl......in.....our school.... "

"There is a girl in our school...???"

Don't take it long Har just say it. "There is a girl in our school who likes you."

"Who?  Me! " I stared at his beautiful image. He was attractive and I don't understand why he doesn't notice it.
I gave him a serious look. "Yes you!........ Unfortunately. " I joked.

He gave me a not so funny look "Who is it ?"

Now I won't leave him easily let's see who he think about first. "Just guess it. " I smirked.

"I don't know."

"Just try at least. "

"Listen Hermione you have to tell me no-" I ran away smirking.

And then the whole day I was looking at his confused face. He used to ask me consistently and I used to refuse telling him. It was fun seeing him getting annoyed and frustrated.

"It's the last time I'm asking you who is that girl?"

"Not now. You haven't even guessed a single name."

"I told you I don't know."

"Ugh... Fine.... I'll tell you -" I saw him paying attention.  "Tomorrow at the competition. " I burst out laughing at his dissapointed face.

"Tomorrow it's for final."

He went away and here comes Ginny
"Hey, did you tell him? "

"I told him that someone likes him but I didn't tell the name."

"Oh god he must be very annoyed."

"He is I asked him to guess some names."

"Oh my gosh who was it then."

"He couldn't guess a single name."

"Oh that's... Good." I looked at her knowing what she meant by that. I smiled back.

I went home early that day not usually like hanging out with Ginny and then leave.

After dinner I went to bed early.

Tomorrow is a big day.

The competition....

And...

Only the competition Har, just go to sleep now.
