Chapter 5

So Funny story. In the week between writing these, I forgot who the caller was... Stop we just gonna play it off... Sorry dear readers, lol.

"Araaaaaaaaaa"

"OMG KOL" I said, trying not to talk to loudly incase any vamps were in hearing range. "You scared the crap out of me." I heard a laugh come from the other end of the phone before a thud and Aunt Beks yelling something that sounded like 'give me back my phone Kolly'. I laughed under my breath. If Beks was calling him Kolly she was trying to anger him. The noises went on for another moment before Beks voice came through the phone.

"Hey Ara"

"Hey Aunt Beks. Whatcha need"

"Shopping trip. Girls day. Meet me in the central mall in Roanoke in 2 hours."

"Ok Beks. Bye." I hung up before changing my clothes quickly into a plain pair of whitewash jeans and a purple shirt. I headed out the door to go meet up with Beks.

A/N - I wrote a chapter that was supposed to carry us over to the Decade dance because not much was planned to happen before then, and it got deleted. I really did not want to rewrite the whole thing so i'm just summarize. I rewrote the phone call scene just because I figured you'd want to know who the caller was. Basically, Ara bonded with them all, they trust her, Elena considers her a bestie, they think she is all innocent, which is why they don't question why she looked sad whenever they "kill" Elijah, who she pretends she doesn't know, and it's almost time for the decade dance now!!!!!!

"Come on Ara! You have to go shopping with us! We need to get dresses for the decade dance!" I'd been listening to Elena plead with me for 10 minutes already.

"Fine. I'll go with you. But I get to pick my own dress" I finally 'relented'. "We can go after school"

Caroline cheered "Yay!" while Bonnie just smiled and Elena had a triumphant look on her face. I really couldn't wait until I didn't have to play nice anymore. I gave dad weekly updates and I knew that in about two days he would be coming to take over Ric's body for the dance. The bell rang and we seperated to go to our classes.

******We gonna skip shopping trip because i really don't want to write a long scene where nothing important happens. The dress she got is on the top/side of chapter******

Day of Decade Dance:

I bustled around my house getting ready for the dance. I hadn't had a chance to talk to dad since he was in Ric's body except for when he was with the others. It was hard, but I knew it was for the best. Besides, after tonight, I didn't have to pretend anymore. I was excited. I was always a drama lover. I finished my makeup, which consisted of nothing but a thin layer of mascara and a little lip-gloss to match my dress. I grabbed my phone and slid it into my pocket so I wouldn't have to carry a purse. Yes, this dress had pockets, and I loved it. I quickly put my hair up into a bun with a few loose strands before running to Elena's house to go with the girls. I somehow convinced them to let me get ready alone, but I was still going with them.

When I arrived they were already walking out of the house towards the car. I went up and got in the back of their car with a fake smile plastered on my face. "I'm so excited!" I said, in a cheerful voice that could rival Carolines. They all smiled back at me and we talked the whole trip to the school. When we arrived, Damon and Stefan were waiting for us. Elena went out and dragged Stefan away and Bonnie and Caroline wandered off somewhere leaving me with Damon. He always treated me like a little sister. I suppressed a gag at the thought.

We walked inside to see Dana walking up on the stage and grabbing the microphone. "Welcome to the Decade Dance everyone! This next song is dedicated to Elena, from Klaus" I feigned a worried look and quickly walked over to a shocked Elena, Damon trailing behind me.

"You ok?" I asked, as I got over to them.

"No" she replied, looking panicked. "I know everybody here! Where could he be?"

"Maybe he's not here, he just wants us to be paranoid." That came from Stefan. "Let's just go dance."

As they made their way to the floor me and Damon walked over to 'Ric'. I was zoned out while 

Damon and him exchanged pleasantries. Damon then walked away and Dad turned to me. 

"Ready Baby?"

I smiled, excited. "Of course. I don't know how much longer I could take." He smiled at me before I walked off to Elena to set our plan in motion.

I found her sitting alone by the food table. I put a fake scared face on before walking up fast and grabbing her arm. I quickly pulled her into an empty hallway before turning to her, fake tears in my eyes.

"What's wrong?" Elena asked, seeming concerned.

"Klaus has Jeremy" I sobbed, hugging her to express my point.

Her eyes widened before she asked me how I knew. "I saw a blur grab him before this man came up and told me to surrender you 'or else'."

"Where are they now?"

"Cafeteria." With that I lead her to the place where dad was. When we walked close enough, she saw Alaric. Elena ran forward yelling out his name. I slowed down and locked the door with magic behind us.

Ric turned towards her, a sinister smirk on his lips. "Not quite. Close."

"Klaus" Elena stated, scared. "Wheres my brother?"

"Why, Jeremys perfectly safe. He's with Bonnie at the dance."

Elena turned towards me, confused. "I thought you said he took him?"

"Did I? Oops. I lied." With that, I walked forwards and hugged my dad before muttering a quick 'I missed you'. He kissed my head and I stepped back turning towards Elena.

"You're with him? Ara! He is lying to you. Whatever he told you is a lie."

I turned to dad, a fake pout on my face. "Oh no. Daddy, are you lying to me?"

Klaus smirked, obviously proud of how "innocently evil" I sounded. It was a phrase he used quite often.

"Dad?!?!" Elena shouted, sounding so lost.

I faced her with an evil smirk on my face, "Oops. Guess the secrets out."
