"Girl wake up. We have to start getting ready. You know yo ass take forever to get dressed." Starr whined through the phone. Starr is my cousin who is the closest thing to me as a sister and best friend."Girl shut up. I'll be there ina bout 20 mins." I semi-yelled through the phone. I rolled off the bed walking into my closet and checking the time seeing that it was 5:00pm on the dot.
"Okay." She ended the call leaving me to finding myself something to wear really quick since we're suppose to be going to the mall and then coming back to head to one of Starr's friend party. Parties really wasn't my type of hype but I guess I can get a little turnt in me from all the chaos that was happening.
After going through my clothes I finally found my grey Nike sweats and black crew neck and threw it on. Almost forgetting I got ahold of my remote that was on the bed and pausing the show I was catching up on. 'All American'.
From finishing touching up my hair a little bit I walked down stairs with my phone and purse in my hand. It smelled like pops and mama was in the kitchen cooking up a meal.
Damn. I walked into the kitchen coming to my pops appearance who was taking the cornbread out the oven.
"Uhh. I'm so hungry." I groaned with the palm of my hand propped under my jaw. The hot and ready meal looked so worth being another 10 minutes late. Beside I knew Starr hungry ass would want a plate anyway. Coming to a conclusion I got two to-go plates."That's enough baby. Don't let your eyes be bigger than your belly now." Mama chuckled putting two pieces of baked chicken on Starr and I plate. "Sorry mama but I think it's my belly this time." I replied with a smile on my face finishing up the plates. Pops just looked at me shaking his head laughing.
"Okay. I gotta go before Starr kills me." I grabbed both plates and was on my out the door. "Tell Starr & her family we said hello!" My dad shouted before I could get out the door. I made a little reminder in my head for that.———
Pulling up at the mall Starr decided to do the shopping because I already had a lot of things I ordered in which I didn't even wear yet. Helping Starr look through stores for something to wear tonight my phone started ringing. I looked at the unknown number and rolled my eyes. It was Trey calling. My ex who recently had to go away because he mentally had to get himself together. All the drinking, smoking, cheating and trouble he was getting in and bringing it into our relationship I had to leave it. I didn't want to hear what he had to say. I declined the call and was tapped on the shoulder by a familiar face.
"Hey Jayda." Brianna greeted me with a bright smile.
"Hey girl. What's up?" I took a sip of my drink I got from Auntie Anne's. I needed something to take my food down from the plate I fixed.
"Getting ready for Mya's party tonight. Will you be there right." She asked tucking her hair behind her ear.
"Yeah I will. Is this one of my two piece sets?" I asked her. She was wearing a cropped black hoodie and a matching black skirt that is up for stock on my website.
"Yes! I love it. It got here fast and it fits me so well. Thank you so much." She turned around showing me how the two piece set fit her curved body figure.
"Yassss!!! Your welcome. Anytime." I gassed her up and soon the conversation ended and by that time Starr was finished out the dressing room ready to pay for her items. The time was going on 7:47pm by the time we were leaving the mall. Just to think about it I was ready to come back home from the party and just go to bed.
We made it back home unlocking the front door with my key pushing the door open.
We jogged upstairs into my bedroom locking the door behind us. I grabbed my clothes from the closet that I had in mind to wear. I went into the bathroom turning on the shower and doing my hygiene.
