Life isn't always a walk in the park I got that, but acting like everything is ok and going smoothly isn't either.

I'm not the type of person to just go around telling people how fun Loving my mother is because I would know deep within that, that is a ugly lie .

I love my mom ,I do ,but sometimes I wish that i wasn't conceived by a terrible person like her.

"Khaylee!" Natalie - my mother shout for me from the bottom stairs .

"Coming ,Mom,"

"What did I told you about calling me that damn word," she sneered at me with a menace glare.

"I'm going out so watch your brother until I'm back," she told me.

"But ,Natalie I have to go to school this is my final year and I cannot be absent for so many days,"I explain to her.

I have not been to school in three days and in all honesty I really need that scholarship .which I had signed up for because ,I know that Natalie wouldn't give me a dime for college.

"Who's house is this?" she questioned.

"Yours," I answered ,meekly for I know the consequences if I dear raise my voice at her.

She suck her teeth and grab her jacket from the holder.

"Watch your brother." Was her final words before she walk out and slam the door .

I  wouldn't have a problem if she was going to come back early which she wouldn't ,when she go out she spend even two to three day out trying to pick or sleep with any man she found suitable for her.

Which is how she got me and Neil- my one month old brother.

I slump my shoulder knowing that today was another day that I would be absent from school.

I made my brother feeding for I know mom didn't even spear any time to even look if he was ok.

I walk into his little nursery which  was apart of my room because the house only had two room, a small living room ,and a bathroom ,as I look over his crib I saw his wide eyes  starring back at me.

I took him up as he salivate his fist.

I know that I take on the mother roll more than ,Natalie, but it's not a problem for I love my brother with all I have and everything I'm doing is for the both of us.

I would do anything to have him a better life than I am having. which is why I am dedicating myself to get that scholarship.

"I love you so much," I  told him while he look in my eyes has I feed him his formula.

I walk back out to the living room and stare at the wall for we didn't have any television or any electronic for all that matters and it's not like I know how to use either anyway ,so it doesn't matter. I keep on convincing myself each time I noted that I'm not the normal teenager that has all electrics and know how to use them.

I lay him on my shoulder to burp him as he start to drift asleep.

"Its jus you and me bud," I whispered as the both of us fall asleep on the worn out sofa.
