Unexpected

chapter 2

"Ms Williams ,can I speak  with you when  the session is dismiss?"
Mrs .Wilbert said in the middle of the lesson.

I looked at her and nod my head, then continued with my notes.

"Mrs.wilbert you've asked to see me," I stood in front of her desk as she continuously push up her glass that always slid down to her nose .

"Ah ,Ms Williams please sit," she told me as she pack a set of paper aside on her desk as she get up from her seat to sit on the desk infront of me as she lean on it folding her arm infront of her .

"I've noticed that you haven't been to school for three days.
What happened ?" She asked as she unfold her arm to fix her glass .

I thank God that she was a teacher I could trust and rely on.
"Natalie wanted me to take care of Neil while she go out."

She scrowl at what I said and roll her eyes for  she knows what Natalie do and say to me each day.

"So where is Neil now?" She asked concerned.

"I left him at my most trusted neighbor." I said starting to feel guilty.

'Have you ever leave him with her before?"

"Yes and she took really good care of him."

"Just remember that you are graduating in two months even though you have received the scholarship  your still suppose to maintain your grades until then," she reasoned but the only think I heard was that I've received the scholarship.

"I've received the scholarship!?!!" I ask a bit out of breath and shock.

"Oops ,I wasn't suppose to tell you for it was suppose to be a surprise from the principal." she said and slap her hand over her mouth.

I flung my hands around her waist for I couldn't reach her shoulder.
Been that I was 5ft 3inch and she was like 5ft 8inch

"OMG! thank Jesus! thank you! OMG!"
I scream over and over out of excitement.

"Calm down," she smile and Patt my shoulder.

"Please don't tell him I told you." She said referring to the principal

"I swear, I won't Mrs Wilbert."

"I know that your a straight A++ student but your really need to catch up on those three days you missed," she said as she practically thrown me from her class room for me to attend my other session which was biology.

It was now lunch time and I swear I wouldn't let anything spoil my mood / day.

I smile and went over to my regular seat. I wasn't gonna buy anything for the money that I've earn is for me to buy diapers and formula  for Neil .

I was now in my last session of the day which was physics we have received a test and to my surprise I've  received a 98%.

I Patt my self on the back, to know that I've been absent from school for three days and receive a 98% I've done great.

As class finish I went straight home and collect Neil from Mrs Johnson , thanking her as I went in the apartment and excitedly told him the good news that I've found out.

Like every other night I feed him, freshen his skin as well as mine and  the both of us go to sleep knowing that Natalie will not be home.
