Chapter 2

1st year in Karasuno
*Side note but im feelin sad so does anybody have corny jokes or just jokes in general i need something to cheer me up.

F/n's pov

“Alright the 4 players playing against the 1st years are #1, #4, #8 and #3 get in positions.”

“Yes sir.”

“I have a question will we not be able to know their names?”

“There's no point in knowing if you aren't going to stay here.” Glaring at the coach we all walk to our side of the court and start making up a plan.

“Man the coach is an asshole.” I mumble.

“Don't say that idiot and lets make our plan. Obviously Suga you're going to be the setter and Asahi the main Spiker. F/n you're going to help me receive the plays and block also if they get to know Suga’s sets to much then you'll start setting alright. I'll also be spiking but ill mostly be in the back so just be on the look out for me when i jump ok. Alright let's do this.”

“YEAH!” Getting in position on court we all turn towards the coach as he clears his throat.

“Instead of a regular 3 set match i want to make sure I get a clear understanding of the 1st years plays so we’ll be playing a 5 set match hope you can survive 1st years.” Dear lord my lungs aren't going to like this and i didn't bring my inhaler today. Looking at Daichi he nods his head to me and with that i know i'm going to be fine. Normally when the matches go on for an extra long time i'm switched out to catch my breath and take my inhaler before going back in but since we don't have people to get switched out with ill have to slow my pace down a bit but i know Daichi and the rest of the team has my back.

“Are you sure coach do you think they can handle it?” Gritting my teeth I look at the other side of the court.

“They’ll be fine now get ready were starting.”

Giving the ball to our side Daichi is serving 1st and i'll be serving next. Looking at our set up i'm in the front right along with Suga whose in the front left  and Asahi and Daichi are in the back middle and left. Not having 6 players on our side is a disadvantage just because of all the empty space there still is on court but we’ll just have to make due.

Hearing the whistle I watch as Daichi serves the ball over the net and not to my surprise they receive it. Lets just say were all not the best at serving. Watching the players i see #4 set the ball to #1 and jump up right as he's about to swing to block it. Feeling the sting on my hands is probably the best thing ever, after looking at their shocked faces obviously. Looking at the scoreboard were up 1 to 0 but it feels good knowing that our team got the first point.

“Nice block F/n.”

“Yeah nice block.”

“Thanks.”

Rubbing my hands together Daichi serves again this time it barely going over the net but landing on there side giving us another point.

“Nice serve just don't hit my head alright Daichi.” Smirking when i hear him mumble i focus on the other team watching as they receive the ball and slam it past my head.

“Damn i don't have to worry about you hitting my head anymore Daichi, they'll do it for you.”

“Baka shut-up!”

“Aww your so mean.”

Backing up away from the net i get ready for #3’s serve. Watching the ball come over to our side Daichi receives the ball cleanly to Suga and he sets it running to jump #1 and #4 block me but little do they know we just got another point.
