Bangtan Host Club, 09:30 P.M 』

The entrance was simple, far from the extravagant design and the noisy ambiance I imagined. I was standing inside a huge room where walls wefe covered with a beautiful black velvet wallpaper. The purple carpet looked as luxurious as the wallpaper, walking on it felt marvelous. A few portraits were hanging on the wall, representing men of all sorts. They all were posing like royalties, wearing jewellery, and seemingly expensive clothes. I spotted Jimin on three portraits. He had black hair, which  I thought suited him better.

Eventually, I adverted my eyes from the portraits, attention shifting to the small front desk where sat a woman. She seemed to be in her forties, wearing a perfectly done makeup along with a silver dress showing off her cleavage. Her great presence made me feel like shit but this time, I couldn't run away. As soon as she caught me staring, her lips curved into a warm and welcoming smile. Her face was perfect.

"Welcome to the Bangtan Host Club, madame." Her husky voice caught me off guard. She sounded as seductive as Jimin earlier. "Is it your first time?" I shyly nodded as she gestured me to approach her. "I can tell." She smiled again.

Her gaze softened, giving me strength to speak. "Huh, I don't know how things work here. I'm just—" I cleared my throat, unsettled by her light brown eyes "I live down the street, so I usually pass by this place. It's been two months actually, and I was curious. I don't go out a lot so..."

Mentally slapping myself, I blushed out of embarrassment. Why did I have to mention that?

Surprisingly, the lady's reassuring smile managed to calm me down. She then picked a leaflet, unfolded it and placed it on the counter so I could properly read it. Her red-painted nails pointed towards the part that looked like a menu.

"Our building is divided into eight floors. The upper floor is strictly forbidden to customers. You have access to the remaining seven floors though. As you can see, each floor has its theme."

Listening to her, my eyes scanned the leaflet and read:

2nd floor : Lounge bar
3rd floor : Restaurant
4th floor : Jacuzzi
5th floor : Bookshop
6th floor : Arcade
7th floor : Coffee shop

"Each floor has its specific rules. We have both female and male hosts. You can ask for a particular someone, hoping that they won't be busy with another customer. If that is the case, you can chose to spend time with another host or to wait in the room behind me." I nodded. "You have to buy an entrance ticket for each floor you chose to go, 5.000₩ per floor with an exception for the fourth, 10.000₩."

"Do you really sell books at the bookshop?" I asked out of curiosity, amazed that they offered various services in a host club

"Yes, dear." The woman chuckled. "And we sell real food at the restaurant, real drinks at the lounge bar and real beverages at the coffee shop."

"What about the arcade?"

"You can play games with our hosts, just as if you were on a date. Any other question?"

I had one but it felt wrong to ask.

"By the way, I'm Choa. I own this place." Her sheepish smile appeared once more. "How should I adress you?"

"(Y/n)," I said "just call me (Y/n)."

The brown-haired woman nodded. "That's a sweet name. Where are you from?"

"From (country/town)." a timid answer escaped my mouth

"Oh, what a coincidence! My brother and I actually went there for a few days last month. Such a nice place!"

This helped me relax a bit. I sighed in relief, glad that she didn't come up with stupid and cliché stuff about my homeland.

"So, (y/n). Anything else?"

This time, I was confident. "Are the hosts allowed to refuse me?"

Choa pursed her lips. "They are. But only if they feel threathened or uncomfortable with you. It only happens when they are requested by some stalkers or perverts. Our hosts aren't sexual objects, they're here so you can have a good time as lomg as you comply to our rules."

After a few more explanations, Choa advised me to pick the lounge bar since it was my first time. I followed her advice then found myself waiting in the lobby while she left, seeking for a host. I told her I didn't mind who it would be. Jimin seemed nice but too much of a seducer, which would make me uncomfortable.

Soon, Choa came back, followed by a man. He was tall, had long black hair and beautiful dark brown eyes. He looked young yet he shone with charismas. His pink lips curved into a sweet smile as soon as his eyes landed on me. Nervous as hell, I managed to smile back—although it probably looked like some weird grimace.

"(y/n), this is Jungkook. He'll be your host for tonight."

Said Jungkook walked to me until he was standing close enough. I could smell his intoxicating perfume. The white suit and the silky blue shirt he had on made him look like some young rich CEO. If Jimin was gorgeous, Jungkook was ethereal.

Suddenly, he extended his hand in my direction, flashing a cocky smile. I took it and shook it gently, enjoying the warmth of his big strong hand. "Pleasure to meet you, (y/n)." his sweet yet commanding voice sent shiver down my spine

"Pleasure's mine." I responded, trying not to sound too shy.

"Let's go and have a drink. I'm sure we'll get along."

And just like that, I chose to ignore the fact that it was all just an act.
