『 Travel agency, 09:54 A.M 』

Making herself some coffee, Hanmi was quietly listening to her coworkers gossiping as usual. They were rambling about the male workers, establishing a ranking according to their appearance. Childish, thought Hanmi. Eventually, they came to repeat the process, only this time, they ranked the female workers.

"I'd say Hanmi is in top five!" Suan, the youngest employee, said as she turned to the said girl. The latter ignored her. "And the last one?"

The four girls shrugged as a fifth one began to chuckle. "I know!"

As if she had read her friend's mind, Suan pursed her lips. "Sooyoung, you're so mean!" Still, she laughed.

This time, Hanmi was growing curious. She wondered if they were talking about her friend. Knowing these racist nuisances, they were probably talking about (Y/n), which was enough to make Hanmi's blood boil in anger.

"Hanmi!" Sooyoung exclaimed "Between us, don't you think (y/n) is not that attractive? I mean–her face and her body?" She expressed a face of disgust. "She'd be 50% better if she went to the gym."

Just like that, some burning hot coffee got spilled on Sooyoung's face.

(Y/n) felt bad for Hanmi, knowing she got in trouble because of her. She went home earlier that day, pretending to be sick. She actually needed some time alone, especially because she had been on the verge of crying since morning.

"Everything's great here, but I still miss you guys so much." She tried hard to hold back her tears, unwilling to show her mother how miserable she felt.

"Baby..." Mrs.(l/n) whispered "You'll be back soon! We're still waiting for you to come visit us."

"I can't wait." (Y/n)'s raspy voice cracked. She sniffed. "I have to go now, take care and say hi to everyone!"

"Of course baby, stay safe and don't forget we all love you."

She pursed her quivering lips. "I love you too, Mama." With that being said, (y/n) hung up the phone.

Following the call, the sad woman couldn't stop crying. She felt stupid for settling in a foreign country, all alone and far away from her beloved family. She missed everyone; her parents, her siblings, her friends, hell she even missed the postman.

She felt terribly lonely, unwanted, and rejected. Why would people be so mean to her? She did nothing wrong! All she ever did was minding her own business while trying to fit in. She wished for independance and happiness in a country she fell in love with years ago. But now, she just felt stupid and naive for believing she could be happy.

Finally reaching the empty restaurant, (Y/n) ordered a burger with some fries. Since she didn't feel like cooking, she decided to have dinner in a fast-food near her place. Distracted by the radio playing, she hadn't noticed the arrival of a new customer. Seemingly used to that place, the young male ordered without even glancing at the menu.

Waiting for the food to be ready, his eyes wandered through the small place, eventually landing on a very familiar figure.

A woman was sitting alone. She had a large back, (h/c) (h/l) hair, and she was wearing a brown jacket he happened to recognize. How can this be? he thought as realization hit him.

"Sir, your order is ready!"

Before answering, Jungkook glanced at (y/n) who was eating alone. He sighed and said : "Actually, I'll eat here."
