Flora's P.O.V
Who was she? Why was she in my dream? I woke up from a deep slumber I couldn't get the echos of her out of my mind. Today is the day I am leaving home to go to boarding school and I thought Yay, That was sarcasm for all you didn't know. I dragged myself out of bed and saw what the time? 5 Am?! God, why is it so early! I said to myself, as I started my morning routine. I walk into my closet and saw the uniform that I had prepared last night. So sexist, girls have to wear pink or purple while boys wear green or blue I felt disgusted as the thought entered my mind. I climbed into my shower and under the steaming hot water and it felt refreshing. Washing my hair and soaping my body quickly, I wrapped myself in my favorite towel. As I dry myself I turned on my radio and heard the song Stand out fit in. Weird. As I hum the song I put on the uniform. Then grabbed my suitcases and took one last look at my room before closing the door. I dragged both my luggage down the stairs, I saw my mom cooking. She smiled at me Oh, if only I could take her pain away. I smiled back trying to be strong for her. She didn't know that I was there and saw what happened to dad that night three years ago. It upsets me to see it, the look in her face when it happened. I wish I could reverse time and make it so that night never happened. I smiled back at her and sat down as she put my breakfast at the counter. "Thank you, mum," I said as I saw the eggs with just a little cheese. I sat on the stool and began eating my breakfast. As I was slowly chewing the first bite, The girl from my dream came back into my mind. I still can't get her out of my head. As I finished eating I went to my mum and hugged her "see you mom" I said. It was a bit of an emotional hug which is odd. She didn't say anything but held me tight, almost like she was afraid. I told her I would call soon and her I loved her, "Me too dear, me too" she answered back. Then I heard teens screaming outside and I knew the bus to the new school had arrived. I grabbed my suitcases and rolled them outside of my house and saw all of the teenagers who were about the age of 13-19 years old who was also bound for the new school. I put my stuff next to the stop so the driver could load it into the compartment before we began our journey. I felt nervous as I climbed onto the bus, I saw most of the seats were already taken. The only seat available was about eight rows back in I scrambled to get there before someone else got it. As I sat down there was a girl beside me, she looked about 14 or 15 years old. I smiled at her as I took my phone out and plugged my earphones in. I played my favorite song Wait a minute! I looked to the row behind me and saw everyone was being childish Grow up! It's teenage years already! Some of you are becoming adults soon. As I looked out the window someone threw a paper ball at me. I grabbed it and opened it when I opened it says 'So ugly and weird ewwwww' I looked back to see who threw it. It was a girl with blue and purple ombre hair. She had her hair in a half up half down bun with a bunch of clips in it. So classic being a mean girl, plus its the first day of school! I rolled my eyes and wrote the paper 'Hmm? What's that smell? It smells like plastic oh! It's just you' I wrote and threw it back to her and luckily it hit her face! It didn't matter if I got in trouble or not. Her expression made it worth it. Take that you fake plastic barbie doll I laughed. As we were getting near the school I stood up and went to the front of the bus. As the bus came to stop and the doors were opened. I stepped out and looked at my new school, it was huge, the walls were a color of mixed light pink and orange. As I waited for the bus driver to unload the luggage, some old woman came out of the school and said "Welcome to the Rivery Starie School" She said as she pointed her left hand to the entrance. I grabbed my bags and stepped into the school, the place looked old and vintage, kinda like grandmas house, full of old and strange things. There was chandelier above the middle of the entrance room, this place is giving creepy vibes. As we all gathered around, some of us didn't wait for the chaperone and started to wander around. As we spun around the room, we saw that the walls were white sometime in the past but now they were covered in stains. The pillars that also seemed beautiful and strong at some point a long time ago but today it seemed like they were about to fall, I was scared to be here, Why did I agree to this school?! I said to myself. I was nervous about this place, it looked like an asylum, you know, like the ones you see in old scary movies. It was like the perfect place to kill the students and hide the bodies. I convinced myself that my thoughts were just crazy and everything was fine. Suddenly, I heard heels clicking towards me from my right, I then felt the presence of someone standing beside me. I glanced over my right shoulder and saw a man who looked to be in his 40's. He smiled at me and moved his hand to his left asking me to move so he could move to where he needed to be. I smiled apologetically and moved over to make way for him. As he moved past me I noticed his hand behind his back. Weird!
As the old man was passing through the room, the students looked at him in horror, but he just smiled as he went. It was like he either didn't noticed or didn't care about what people thought. Honestly, I know why they stared. Hell, I did too he looked like he just climbed out of a grave, face all pale, eyebrows are faded, slouching as he is passed. Smiling creepily to them new students that were all crowded together in the room. As the old man reached the top of the stairs, students turned to the direction of where he stood. "Good morning newcomers, to Rivery Starie school" the old man spoke to the students who were confused about who he was. "I am dean Rabien, the head for this school. It is nice to see all of the new faces here!" The old man named quote-unquote dean Rabien. He smiled to all of the students, most of us felt a shiver go down our spines. What kind of place is this? How is this guy the principal? What did I get myself into...
