Hundred Reasons

Chapter 1

Cassidy's POV

I was writing yet another chapter of my story to be published soon. I wasn't very lucky though. Apparently a drunk driver almost got me killed but thank the gods, I only got a few bruises and scratches so here I am in a hospital. I'm just glad that the hit wasn't that bad or I would've ended up with broken bones or something but the driver took responsibility and paid for my hospital bills. So kind of him.

I didn't have a lot of money with me so I decided to come to this cafe. There's a lot of doctors and nurses here. Probably on break.

I heard my name being called.

"Ah, my order is here."

I went to the counter and took it.

"Here you go Ms. Ady? Correct me if I'm wrong."

"Don't worry, you got it right."

I said and smiled.

I sat back down at my table when I received a message from my editor.

Lee Juyeon<3 UwU sent you a message:
--Hey Ady, please tell me when you'll finish the book ok?
I'll be ready to look through it ASAP! --**

I smiled and continued to write. Juyeon is just so kind and extremely handsome. He's definitely boyfriend material.

"I can also trust him."

I sighed

"Wow! Trust, BIG word!"

"I've never heard you say that Cassidy Lee."

Someone behind me said.

"Aish, Sungjae don't do that again! You scared me."

"Was it enough to make you fall for me?"

Yep, the typical Sungjae. He's very annoying! He'll always tease me in different ways possible.

He sat down beside me and took a look at my work. I tried to cover the screen but my slow hands failed to do so. He read it all and laughed. He probably thinks it's funny.

"Stop laughing, it's not supposed to be funny."

I said and shrugged

"I'm laughing because it's cute!"

He said while laughing so hard

I leaned back and closed my eyes shut.

~I better get some rest~

I felt Sungjae stand up and leave his seat. I peeked and saw that he was at the counter ordering a drink and as per usual, flirting with the cashier lady. He handed her his business
card and asked her to call him anytime. Typical Sungjae...

When he was done, he sat down beside me and asked a question.

"Do you think I'm handsome Ady?"

I was shookt. Did he really ask me that? Am I hallucinating? Am I even alive? Ok, let's not overreact, it's not like you like him Ady, right? He's just an annoying friend that you have. Also, he's been like that ever since birth.

"Kind of?"
"Why would you even ask that, Sungjae?"

I said sounding a bit annoyed

"Just making sure."

"Why are you here anyway?"

"To see if you're okay dummy."

Did I mention he's awfully kind?

"I better get going, it's getting late."

"Ady, wait!"

I stood there and looked at him.

"Do you mind if I take you home?"

"It's ok, I can go home on my own. Also, I've only got bruises, not broken bones or anything."

"Ok, get home safely then."

He said with a smile.

Now I feel bad...

I waved goodbye at him as he entered his car. He was so sweet today. I'm just not used to him caring about me. He wasn't like that when we were in highschool.

As I was boarding the bus home, this random guy suddenly bumped me and didn't even say sorry!

"Thanks so much by the way!"

I said being sarcastic

~so much of having a bad day~

I thought.

When I found myself a seat I leaned back and started to doze off a little. I might as well take a little nap.

I had a pretty tough time at the hospital getting treatment and stuff.

Just a bit of sleep is enough before I go home...
