Cassidy's POV
"Oh, good morning noona!"
Eunwoo greeted me
I smiled and greeted him back
"Good morning lil bro! You look really happy today, eh?!"
"Did something good happen?"I asked him.
"Well, I went on a blind date last night, and..."
Your boss was at the hospital last night. Just wonderful...
"And?"
I said
"I got myself a girlfriend. "
I smiled at him.
"Good morning boss!"
Geunsoo came out of the kitchen and greeted me.
"Oh, Geunsoo, can you make two Americanos please, I have a guest coming."
"Let me guess, your publisher? Mr. I forgot the name, wait a second."
"It's editor you idiot, not publisher, and the name's Lee Juyeon."
I shrugged
-------
I went upstairs and sat down. It was almost lunch time. Juyeon and I agreed to meet at my cafe. It's Wednesday and that means I have to give him part of my manuscript. Not all of it though. I don't write everything in one go and then just finish it, the end.
We don't get a lot of customers at that time.
I checked my phone for the time and heck it was already 12:30. He's supposed to be here by now.
I reached into my bag to fetch my make up for a little touch up. Got to look good in front of someone I like am I right?
~Perhaps a little bit of highlight?~
Aish, screw it. I would never look good in front of him. I mean, he doesn't even notice the hints I give him every time we meet so what's the point, huh?
I sighed.
"Cassy!"
Shoot! He's here already.
"Uhm, welcome Juyeon, take a seat."
Welcome? Have you lost your freaking mind girl?! Out of everything you could've said, welcome came out of your mouth?
"Pulled an all nighter?"
He knows.
"What? N-no! Totally slept early last...night."
I'm still as awkward as hell.
"Don't you try to fool me. What did I tell you huh? Don't stay up late when writing your stories."
"Sorry."
That was all I could say, I was embarrassed.
"Please take care of yourself, you're like a little sister for me."
Right, I'm just a little sister for him.
I just smiled. No words came out of my mouth.
He proceeded to read manuscript I wrote.
"Wow, this is good! I like it a lot."
I smiled again.
"Oh right, about the book signing event it's on friday this week, two o'clock. Your manager asked me to tell you."
Yes, I have a manager. I have quite a busy schedule, specially when I release a new novel.
"Thanks!"
"I better get going now. I'll come pick up the next manuscript on Wednesday next week."
"Okay, see you next week then."
I went to see him off. I stood by the door as I looked at him walk towards his car holding my manuscript.
-------
After what happened at the cafe, I decided to go home and clear my head. I asked Sungjae to come over to have a drink with me and he agreed.
I quickly went to the convenience store and bought 2 soju bottles. I waited for Sungjae at my balcony. Well, he knows my passcode so I don't need to open the door for him.
He does it quickly and without anyone around because my neighbors might get a wrong idea. I don't want anyone talking about me around my neighborhood.
Twenty minutes passed until he arrived. I heard the sound of his car pulling in down below so I knew he was there already.
"ADY! YOUR FATHER IS HERE!"
He does that every time to embarrass me.
~Man, if he gets up here I'm gonna push him off the balcony~
He's a real nutjob...
Sungjae ran up the stairs really fast that I could hear his footsteps clearly. He opened my bedroom door and headed towards the balcony. He sat beside me as I poured alcohol in his glass.
"The view here is really nice. Right, Ady?"
"What's so nice about the view?"
I asked.
"Well, you can see the calm, vast ocean shimmering under the setting sun."
Wait, since when did he talk like that?
Well, I guess he's right. It is nice and beautiful.
"You know, your eyes are the color of the ocean."
"I know. My mom told me that all the time."
Right, I shouldn't have said that. It's a very sensitive topic for him.
I took the bottle of soju and poured him a drink. I wanted him to feel a little better after what I just said.
We talked for a little while till it was already dinner. He offered to stay and cook dinner for the two of us and I agreed. It was nice to have someone cook dinner for me, plus he looks really cool every time he cooks. I've seen him a couple of times in culinary class and he was the best. Since he was cooking, I prepared the table. I took the plates and utensils out of the cabinet and placed them on the table. After everything was done we sat down and ate.
"Thanks for the food."
We uttered in unison
"Take your time and eat slowly okay?"
I nodded...
