Chapter 11: The Forbidden Forest

Julienne's POV

Classes started again when the Christmas holidays were over. And the other students came back to Hogwarts and Luna Nova.

I was currently in the library with Harry and Sans, researching over books like everyone else. Until Akko came holding a really heavy book.

"I had you looking at the wrong section, how could I be so foolish? I just checked this out weeks ago for a bit of light reading." she said while dropping the book on the table.

"This is light?" Sans questioned, but received a glare from Akko.

"You can't just ask someone about light reading, mate." Harry reminded.

Akko was scanning through the pages, until...

"Of course, here it is! 'Nicolas Flamel is the only known maker of the Sorcerer's Stone.'"

"The what?" the three of us ask in unison.

"It says here, that the Sorcerer's Stone is a legendary substance with astonishing powers. It turns any metal into pure gold, and it can produce the Elixir of Life which can make the drinker immortal." she summarizes the page.

"Immortal?" Sans asked.

"It means you'll never die." Harry explains.

"I know that!" he argues while I shushed him to be quiet, we're in a library for Merlin's sake.

"'The only stone currently in existence belongs to Nicolas Flamel, the noted alchemist who last year celebrated his 665th birthday.'"

"That's what's under the trapdoor Fluffy is guarding, the Sorcerer's Stone." I concluded.

We decided to confront Hagrid that night, in our cloaks and headed to his hut. I gave a knock on his door and it was opened.

"Oh hello, I don't wish to be rude but, I'm in no fit state to entertain today." and with that he starts closing the door.

"We know about the Sorcerer's Stone!" we whisper-shouted at him until the door opens again.

"Oh." he mutters and finally let's us in. He also seems to be wearing an apron with some oven mitts.

"We think Snape's trying to steal it." I tell him while sitting on the couch.

"Snape? Blimey, you're still on about him, are you?" he asks.

"Hagrid! We know he's after the stone, we just don't know why!" Harry pleads with him.

"Snape is one of the teachers protecting the stone! He's not about to steal it!"

"What? Really?" Akko asks.

"Yes, really. You heard. Right, now come on, I'm a bit preoccupied today." Hagrid tries to shoo us out.

"Wait a minute! 'One of the teachers'?" Sans questions.

"Of course! There are other things defending the stone, aren't there? Spells, enchantments?" Harry says.
