The World Inside My Mind

I escape on the wings of dragons,

And watch the clouds separate,

As the flames of my dragon's maw,

Ignite the sky,

With more brilliance than the blazing sun.

I sit with the talking creatures,

And listen to their stories of old,

As they smile,

In remembrance of what was,

And will be again.

I dance with the spirits of the trees,

And join in their joyous song,

As they speak the language of the elves,

And bring the forest to life.

I raise my book, which is my sword,

And stand against the malevolent king,

As his sinister curse,

Is broken by the power of light.

I battle with the dark sorcerer,

And stop his tongue,

As he tries to cast a spell,

Of evil and misery,

Over the land that he has so long oppressed.

I fall in love with the humble man,

And see his strength,

As he doubts himself,

Until we stand together with purpose.

I escape into this whole new world,

The land within my mind,

And never want to leave,

As I find the solutions to life,

That do not exist in reality.
